How do I get inside the drum
A paddle broke of my hotpoint aquarius, but the resulting hole ended up ripping up the clothes and blocking the machine with lint.
The paddles in the drum are there to agitate the clothes being washed. Without them, it is possible that the drum would just spin while the clothes sat still at the bottom.
For optimum performance, it is best to have all the paddles present, but if one is broken/missing then it shouldn't have too much effect.
Hope this helps,
Matt

One of the drum paddles actually came off my machine (AEG oko-lavamat 1261 turbo sensotronic). I can get the parts but want to find out if I need an engineer for this or if the paddle can be fixed from the inside of the drum, in which case I would attempt the repair myself.
None of the service companies can't (or won't) tell me.
Can anyone help?
