Kodak ESP 3 Multifunction Printer/ Copier/ Scanner Logo
Posted on Nov 25, 2017

Kodak 3250 prints fine. Would not scan. Got that fixed. Now it won't save scanned photos to a file. Software installed from both the CD and from Kodak's website (independently of each other). Both times seemed to about 75% load, and then "rolled back", or unloaded. Get a notice saying "installation unsuccessful".

SOURCE: My Kodak ESP 3 Won't Scan

Did you install the full software driver for the all-in-one? The drivers are here: http://www.kodak.com/global/mul/service/downloads/DownloadLookup.jhtml?pq-path=9103/12666/12667&product=EKN034524

Next try a new USB cable and plugging the unit into a different port. If you use a print server or USB hub, try connecting directly to the computer. Scanners need bi-directional communication with the computer and thus are likely to have issues even if the printer doesn't.

Can the scanning software on the computer initiate the scan? (That is in the full software package. Alternatively Vista came with Paint and File> Import from Camera or Scanner > New Scan.)

I hope this helps.

Yes sounds to me like one of your ink cartridge is empty. Replace and try again.

SOURCE: My Kodak ESP 3250 won't

Try initiating the scan from the computer, once you plug in the USB cable into your computer, go to My Computer, right click the sanner (should be called something along the lines of KODAK ESP.....) and press scan, then click which program you'll use to scan it, I usually do the Microsoft one, Good luck!!

My Kodak printer will copy and print but I cannot get it to scan photos or documents to my computer. What am I doing wrong?

Hello bbaazinau,

To scan to the computer open up your paint package (such as paint shop pro or which ever you use) and select Import.
It will list the printer as a device and all you have to do is to click it and the Kodak scanning software window will open up.

After you have clicked the scan button and the picture has been scanned, it will return you to your paint package where you can change/save etc the picture.

I hope this helps you, but if not please post again to this and I will try my best to solve it.

I just bought A Kodak esp 3250 series AIO printer. I can print from computer, copy and all that but whenever I try to scan to computer or even preview scan I get a error saying :An error occurred while...

Try a new USB cable. Scanners require bidirectional communication with the computer and thus can fail when printer itself works. (If you use a print server or USB hub, try a direct connection.) Also try changing USB ports.

Another thing to try is to remove the TWAIN driver and reinstall it. This requires the original software CD from Kodak.
1. From your computer desktop, click Start > Run. (In Windows 7, type run in the search box then click on Run.)
2. Type %windir%, then click OK.
3. Double-click twain_32.
4. Right-click Kodak, then select Delete.
5. Insert the KODAK All-in-One Printer Software CD into the appropriate drive, then go to D: > printer > scanner.
NOTE: The CD is indicated by D: above. The CD drive may be a different letter on your computer.
6. Double-click aioscannr.msi, then follow the instructions to remove it.
7. Go to D: > printer > scanner, then double-click aioscannr.msi, and follow the instructions to install the file.
8. Open Home Center Software:
a. Select Scan Documents and Pictures.
b. Scan a document.

Unfortunately, if the error persists, the scanner may need service. Contact Kodak: http://www.kodak.com/go/contact .

I hope this helps.

HP F2280 won?t scan multiple pages into a PDF file

I fixed this by Installing the full suite of programmes on the installation CD, specifically Installing the "OCR Isis" programme (or Iris, not sure).

I had the scan-to-pdf option, but then when I reinstalled my system it was no longer available. I tried updating Adobe Acrobat reader to v9.0 and I don't think this fixed it. But at the same time I installed the "extra" programmes of the HP Installation CD, and then the scan-to-PDF feature was back.

So basically, install the COMPLETE set of programmes on the HP installation CD seemed to fix this.

I have a HP Deskjet F2180 printer, but I suspect that the HP software is generic across alot of its product range.

Cheers! - Hope this helps someone.

How to print a regular document from Microsoft Word, Excel.

Instead of pressing the start button to print, you need to press the small ON/OFF button. The start button works to copy/scan. But to print, you will need to turn the printer on first. Once the printer is on, the computer should recognize it fine and allow you to print from your applications.
