That is likely a bad a power supply aka high-voltage converter.
I do recommend testing or having it tested to make sure. This is done with a voltmeter. Many of these units also use relays in them which act as switches to turn on and off components of the set. These also can go bad and would need to be tested with an ohmmeter. An oscilloscope is a great tool in diagnosing electronical problems.

1* Turn your TV and SkyHD box on and press tv on your remote control.
2* Hold down select and the red button together until the red light on your remote
control blinks twice (this is after about two seconds).
3* Press tv again.
4* Key in your TV's brand code. The light on your remote control blinks twice.
5* Press standby on your remote control.
If your TV switches off, press select.
The light on your remote control should blink twice.
If your TV does not switch off, press tv, then press standby.
Repeat the sequence of pressing tv then standby until the TV switches off,
