The 2050 uses 2 network connections, one for the printer and one for the scanner.
Before I go into any great detail,
Do you have a home network? Are you using a switch?
Are you printing through the network connection or the USB/parallel port?
Are you trying to twain scan? Do you have the software CD for scanning.
If not, you will need to download the drivers from the Kyocera web site.

Firmware up dates for these machines need to be done by someone with experience. There are two seperate for the machine, printer, fax, and scanner and are done differently. THe updates are provided by the manufacture to dealers that are trained to work on these machines and should not be done by others because there can be a negative outcome if done improperly, leaving your machine nonfunctional.
Use the link below to get to the manufacture's website where you can down load all the manuals for this model machine to include the fax user guide. If you need more assistance go to www.gfbm.net

the issue needs to be resolved on the other end..It's not an issue with your machine...They need to do 1 of 3 things...either setup distinctive ring with their phone company...or purchase a fax line.. or get something called "the stick"
The km 2050 was on network, but moved to home and directly into tower system via usb interface connector. Printer works, but can not get scanner to work? read instructions without a clue. can someone help with correct proceedure?
