I have a Panasonic 32" LCD Flat Screen TV that has been hit with something. The screen doesn't show to be broken when the TV is off. However, when it's turned on, it shows to have a chip and running break. The screen is lighted, and has only lines, running cracks, & black spots that look like ink runs on the screen, instead of a picture. Can my TV be saved? I have heard a replacement screen, and possibly a Plasma panel will be needed for repair. How much money am I possibly looking at for repairs?
Sorry, not repairable, because the LCD,PLasma, and DLP screen are limited produced.Replacing the tv pannel screen will cost the same as a new tv.Might even cost more after the labors. The tvs screen is about 90% of the tv,that why when is broken or damage, now it only use for it electronics boards parts,or sell for it electronics boards parts that it.
Testimonial: "thanks for the info....will have to scrap the TV for parts only. You've been helpful. Now I know what decision to make. Have a great day."
Generally speaking, though it may be possible to fix a broken screen, it's not cost effective and you'd be better off replacing the TV.
How much to replace the screen on my panasonic 32" lcd

Sorry to say, when the display is broken you're best off looking for a replacement TV.
There isn't any way to repair a cracked display except to replace it. You can try a Google search or check websites like shopjimmy.com that sell parts removed from junked sets. It's almost impossible to find replacement displays (unless you are a warranty servicer and get them right from the manufacturer) since most TV's are junked because of broken displays. And if you do find a display, there are still potential problems. Besides the cost (the display is the most expensive part, most of the set's cost), you need to be sure the display is exactly the same part as the one you're replacing. The same model of TV can use different displays depending on when and where it was made, and there may be differences in other parts in the set as well.

my Panasonic TV date of manufacture is Nov'2009, I've had it only a couple weeks. It was broken almost immediately after purchase, therefore I would hope the replacement screen would still be available. The screen exterior is not broken, the break is apparently behind the exterior screen. I called a TV repairman/shop, was told the panel(I assume Plasma panel),would need replacing. That led me to believe it could be repaired, but possibly very costly. I don't know if the screen will need replacing.
correction....I said Plasma panel, really meant to say picture panel, it's LCD, so couldn't need plasma panel.
