My 2000 Mitsubishi VS-50707 will turn itself off sporadically. Sometimes only once over a two week period, other times it will turn itself off 6-10 times in a day. It always takes at least 20-30 minutes to reset and turn back on. If you don't wait, it will just click and turn right back off. Is it time for a new tube or can this be fixed for a minimum charge. I would like to get more than seven years out of a $2200 T.V. Need help please!!!!!
What if the pic doesnt stay on long enough to run the test? Mine doesn't stay on more then 15 seconds before it powers off. This happens everytime now.
HELP and THANKS
You can do a self-diagnosis test by pressing the menu and input/device button on set for 5 sec and see what error code it gives you. Count the blinks followed by a short pause then more blinks. This is the error code.

I conducted a self diagnosis and it came up with error code 24. What does this code signify? Thanks for the help.
Having zero knowledge about televisions and there components, is this something that I can fix on my own? Wife is pushing for new T.V. I don't want to cut my losses just yet. What needs to happen to fix the problem?
Mine also shuts down sporadically, and when i press the power button the green light comes on and off followed by a click. This happens about every week.
