Check the slot in TV where the HDMI cable is inserted. On your TV remote control (not Philmore) there will be a Source button or Input button. Press it & on your TV screen select HDMI 1 or HDMI 2. Now take the other remote control i.e. Philmore Universal remote in your hand. Press & release the S (set) button. Immediately enter the code. You have to be extremely fast in doing this.
Following are few codes which you can try:
Check the Visio TV manual for the Brand name, Model no & TV code if any. Then contact your TV manufacturer or retailer for the TV code to enter & synchronize with your new Philmore Remote Control.

Well, one of the solutions would be a universal remote control. The way amplifiers usually work is such that the volume needs to be adjusted on the amplifier and not the source (TV in your case). If you can give me more information on the model of your amp I might be able to prove die you with another solution.
Hi,
Please replace the batteries with new ones and retry it. If does not work :
Check your remote receiver on tv and the remote itself for malfunction.
Dissemble your remote , check the DIODE for crack or damage and replace if needed with same model / type of diode.
Suggestion is to has it fixed at repair shop in the receiver on TV get problem.
Regards
The remote control should have come with a leaflet/booklet containing a table of figures; these are the codes you need for your tv.
Failing this, check the leaflet/booklet for instructions on how to search for the code, using a key sequence on the remote; this is a long, drawn out process, but it may just work.
If all else fails, try using google to search for any web pages that may offer you the necessary code.
It might be worth the time involved to search the web for an answer.
Beyond that, contact the manufacturer of the remote control & ask them for the correct code.
In my experience, there are only a small number of tv manufacturers whose products are difficult to use with universal remote controls, but Schneider is an obscure make, & if it turns out to be not possible to link up the remote control, you may want to consider buying a new tv, but check that it will work with the remote control, before buying it.
Hope this has been of some help to you.
Thanks,
Steve.
May I suggest doing a search on Google or Yahoo etc for "Magnavox remotes" or "Philips remotes" or try to find the contact number to Philips Consumer Electronics. Hope this helps
