CHANGING THE PIXEL RESOLUTION

Hello,
I have SONY DCR-DVD905E camcorder. I am using it for recording video clips for a scientific project. From the video, I need to take photographs after specific time interval. Eventhough I am able to get photo frames, I am not able to get them at a required pixel resolution (say 388*244) but always I am ending up with some low resolution (280*210)... Previously, I was getting the correct resolution. Hence, it may be due to any change in camera settings but I could not find it out...please help me out of this.. I lost the user manual also.

One user manual covers the DCR-DVD905 and the DCR-DVD505.

Go to

http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/SYCustomerCare?storeId=10151&catalogId=10551&langId=-1

click on 'Manuals/Specs & Warranty' in the Technical Support section, thn on the subsequent page, in option 2, enter DCR-DVD505 as the model number. This will take you to a page where you can download the operating guide.

Good Luck.

No sound when I play back recordings with Sony DCR-HC62E Camcorder?

Question edited to add the make and fix typos.

I wondered if there was a Mute feature for the microphone, but I don't see it in the manual. There is however a warning that you can't get sound from a clip that was recorded with 4 channel sound. It sounds like you may just have a faulty microphone.

I bought a new handicam with projection(Sony DCR PJ5e). It records in memory card in MPEG2 format and able to play . But when I try to play clips with same format by using memory card, the camcoder does...

Many camcorders will save and play video in familiar file formats, but they often use different and sometimes incompatible or conflicting specific video codecs.

Your model saves and plays back using Video Codec "MPEG2-PS". Make sure that your computer or other device is able to save and play that same specific codec, or search for a download for that codec.

Cannot see movie on apple mac

Hello,

Are you removing the DVD from the DCR-DVD905E and putting it into your computer or are you connecting the camera via firewire to the computer?

The easiest way to watch video from your camera is to use the DVD that is in the camera. The tricky part with this is figuring out what type of DVD is recording your project. If you have a DVD+R or a DVD-R, your computer must be able to read those types of DVDs. Also, you must be using the correct type of DVD (+ or - R) inside of the DCR-DVD905E.

Hello, I have the sony dcr-trv260 and it will play back video and sound, and record sound, but will not record video. It is just black in both the lsd screen and the smaller one.

Did you examine to see if the lens cover is on?
If it is on remove it. If it is off,you need to go in the menu and select record instead of play.

I have a sony DCR-DVD100 that has been in storage for a year and now it will not record. Will play back previous disk however on its screen. What could be wrong?

Try Resetting the Camcorder. To Reset the Camcorder, first open the LCD of the Camcorder to locate the Camcorder(on the side of the Camcorder, next to RECORD and VOLUME buttons). Then, press and release the RESET button using a sharp pointed object. Then, check whether the issue is resolved.
If the issue still persists service of the Camera is required.
You may also try changing the battery.
