Roomba 530 Nine beep error. I took off the front bumper and cleaned it throughly. Looks like itmay have to do with poor infrared emitters as they dim over time with getting older.

Most times the issue can be of a faulty IR LEDs inside the bumper optical. eBay has the repair kit for cheap. Do a search on ebay for roomba bumper repair kit.

IRobot will act like it going to clean - spins around then eventually stops then beeps 9 times then nothing. I have cleaned but still not working?

9 beeps means the bumper is stuck. try gently whacking the bumper so it bounces back... also spray some compressed air under the bumper, their might be something lodged under it.

Hey

Please look for other same problem posted here ;-)

You are probably facing a bumper sensor issue.
Try to clean the bumper first and if this goes on, either call iRobot service, or
take a look at this page for the step by step 9 beep fix.

My roomba won't go forward it just spins in a circle and will go backwards. I have already tried cleaning it out and cleaning the front bumper sensors.

You will need to take the top off to clear those wheels.
This happens a lot when cleaning new carpet. The fuzz jams the wheel switch, and dosey do you go.

Yes, this is known issue and if your bumper moves freely, you might be facing a sensor fault caused by poor quality of components.
