Motorola k1 problem

Welcome to Fixya. If you want to undo the preddictive text just follow the guide below.

1. From any text entry screen (ie. when you are writing a text message), press the top center button, the one above the directional wheel.

2. Press on Entry SetUp

3. Select the Primary Set Up or Secondary Setup by choosing your preferred input mode among the ones below. Us the wheel by pressing on the right arrow to change mode:

ITAP: it's a built-in software which predicts the word you are typing. THIS IS PREDICTIVE TEXT

TAP: enter individual letters and numbers by pressing the keys multiple times. Ie. for the letter F press the number 3 button three times.

Tap Extended: enter individual letters, numbers and symbols by pressing the keys multiple times

To change from one mode to the next you can select it by pressing the top center button from a text entry screen, and Press on Entry Mode. Shortcut: you can press the # key on your phone when you are writing a message and you will see abc1 for your primary mode, 123 for numeric; @ for symbols; and abc2 for your secondary mode.

on your krzr press the middle button menu/messages/new messages/new message/and toggle w/ the # key until you see "abc" ,now key 84265...okay you welcome

Google - "Motorola Mobile Phone Tools"

My phone is doing that, too!! It just started doing that the other day. It seemed to help for a little while if I restarted the phone, but now it won't send any sms messages at all, but instead sends them as mms.

ok mate go into to write a message now when you done that just go down and enter hello and then delete it and then press options and scroll down till you see predictive txt and click on that and turn it off and there you go hope this helps and also dont forget to rate me .

your phone's text entry mode is currently set to 'predictive text' which means the phone is trying to 'guess' the word that you want. Teenagers find this easy to use and fast, but I, like you, absolutely hate it.
This mode is easily changed. When you start to write a text message, before entering any text press the 'hash' key (bottom right) sequentially until the top left of your display title bar shows 'Abc2' this means your phone is now in ordinary text entry mode.
You can also change the case (capitals etc) by sequentially pressing the 0 button (bottom centre).

go to your messages... then choose message setting... look for default text input and just choose iTap (i think???) just play around with your message setting...

Go to Messages -->Create-->SMS/EMS-->the message multiline appears . Now press the round button in the centre of directional keys, this will take you to message editor. Now go to Entry set up . In the Primary setup select TAP english and in the secondary set up select TAP English.

there is a program called motoupdate you can search for it in google once you run the program it will automatically correct this problem
