(For yahoo) Log in to your account, click on "Contacts" and again click "Tools" and select "export" and select what format you want. I am sorry that i don't have much idea about the talktalk.net, but i do hope that there must be possibility to import the contacts as other mail services. More or less similar with the hotmail account, after you are signed in, click "contact list" on the left pane, from the "contacts" page select the contacts you want to export (if you need to select all the contacts email addresses, just tick the check box beside the "name") and click "manage" on the "contact" menu and follow the instructions. Webmail.talktalk.net does not accept mypass word. Have used it for years,acer laptop

If you normally use POP3 to access your TalkTalk e-mail and haven't used Webmail for a while you may find that you can no longer log in. I have seen just a few isolated cases of this.
I'm not sure why but to fix it log into www.talktalk.net and access the Broadband Dashboard which is located on the left hand side under Broadband / Manage Broadband Features. Choose

Now sign in again, SIGH!, using your telephone-number@talktalk.net and your broadband password. If you have forgotten your password then just call 08700 875562 from your TalkTalk landline and follow the instructions.
Select the e-mail tab and enter a new password (or even the same password) against the e-mail address you are having problems with and then press UPDATE.
Now you can go back to webmail.talktalk.net and you should be able to sign in using the e-mail address and password. If its your first time on the new e-mail platform then you will be asked to fill in some extra details such as your name, gender and date of birth and press submit them.

Webmail should now be working again.

You can try one of a few things. First look at your mail your are composing. Notice the line that says from: it should be followed by your email addres.... Across from it should be the outgoing mailserver the account will be using. If that box is blank, clik on it and select a mail server. Also, make sure the "only use this mail server" box is not checked. Once you uncheck, it should allow you to choose one of the available mail servers you already have listed.
If you don't have any out going mail servers listed, then choose the "edit mail server list" option (in that same pull down menu). Based upon you mail again setting, you will then enter the out going mail server. An example would be. (mail.charter.net.... or smtp.charter.net) Check with you email service provider to determine what that setting should be.

Have received e-mail on 20 March 2008 stating that my Norton Antivirus purchased on 2006.08-01 may never have been successfully activated. I have downloaded the antispam as you suggested before I noticed...

1. check you SMTP settings ( Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) >> Outgoing settings 2. You didn't state which email client you are using. The "outing going/ incoming mail settings will be checked 1st.
2. Clear the acct and set it up again in the "accounts tab to correct this for the future.
If this is Outlook or Outlook Express check the Microsoft page for proper email account setup. You can go to the "helps" in the Windows "help and support" on your laptop to correct this issue.
