Hi there, I've been having trouble with my Belkin 802.11g Wireless G NoteBook Card. I can get it to work using the Belkin utility, but this only seems to allow me to connect to one wireless network at once. The beauty of the Windows wireless client is that it can remember multiple connections from different locations, with the belkin one I seem to have to change it all whenever I want to connect to a new wireless network. When I try to use the windows connector, it tries to connect for a while, but then fails. Or sometimes it will connect, but then drops the connection. I don?t have this problem connecting with the Belkin utility... Hopefully someone can help; many thanks in advance.

The Belkin card will come with third party software you can disable this utility by right clicking on the icon in the Taskbar and choosing "Use Windows Zero Configuration".
Then you will need to go into Control Panel >> Administrative Tools >> Services >> Wireless Zero Configuration >> Right click and check that the service is starting automatically >> click on Start >> Apply - that should then detect your wireless network and the internet.
hi.. it has been seen that due to some reason the wep key doesnot work... u can try changing the key type to WPA instead of WEP... go to the router page and change the security type to WPA instead of WEP.. 1 more thing in vista you can use the windows utility only...how come is it possible that you are using the card utility as well..i suggest you to disable the card utility and just use the windows default utility.. vedhick.....let me know if u need steps to change the security type to WPA..
Does the Acer have a built in wireless LAN card?
If so are the drivers installed?
Go to the Control Panel, then Network Connections to verify the wireless connection etc..
If you don't has a wireless card you will need to get a PCMCIA wireless card and install the drivers and configure it to suit your wireless router configuration.
its called express card.. and your 1501 has built in wireless adapter already. what u need is a router to hookup to the dsl to transmit th signal to the 1501 antenas built in

She probably has both the Mimo Utility and the Windows XP Wireless Configuration Utility running at the same time.. Try disabling the Windows Configuration Utility and see if she can connect now..
The process erroring out has to do with the Toshiba wireless settings.
http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/cfsserv/
"cfsserv.exe is a process belonging to Toshiba's ConfigFree utility and searches for Wireless Devices. This program is a non-essential process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems."
I would attempt to completely un-install this utility and then re-install it. After re-installing this utility, make sure the wireless setting on your Toshiba and your wireless router match exactly.
If you have trouble using the Toshiba utiliy, you can always try the built in Window utility (that is if you have Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed).
Sorry, I should have included that. It's running Windows XP Home SP3 :)
