the i880 & the i885 needs a quality charger, if you get a original Motorola charger IT WILL WORK. There are some aftermarkets that will work, but not many.

i had a i730 that i drop in water i took it apart an took the blow dryer set it on hi about 8 to 10 " away from the parts put it back together it work just fine till i drop it out of the window of the mail truck. yes you can buy the main board

Very Simple Solution. I have the same phone.
First you need a Data Cable that connects your phone to a USB port on your PC.
Secondly, go to http://idenphones.motorola.com/iden/support/software/html/mp3_software.html
and download the mp3 loader.
Its very easy to use. good luck.
btw, I found a data cable on ebay for $5
