Cannot connect to subscriber in China

When in China I was able to send and receive email from subscriber in China; from the States, I get a 554 554 delivery error.

Typically this error indicates that you are trying to send your Adhost email through Adhost’s mail server when you have not authenticated your email account to send mail. Our mail server authenticates you through your pop account. So when you check your email, our mail server authenticates your pop user and password, captures that IP that you are checking your email from, and adds that IP to our relay list. This list is flushed every 70 minutes. This means, if you try to send email after the relay list has been flushed and before you’ve attempted to check your email, you will receive this error.


How to fix the problem:

Fix #1 - reauthenticate on our server.

Remove any email from your Outbox. If you need to keep the message, you can move it to your 'Drafts' folder.
Click "Send/Receive". This will reauthenticate you.
Try resending the email.
Fix #2 - configure your email client to check for email before sending.

In Outlook, go to "Tools" and select "Email Accounts". Make sure "View or change existing e-mail accounts" is checked. Click Next.
Select your account from the list and click "Change".
Select "More Settings".
Select "Outgoing Server".
Check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication".
Select "Log on to incoming mail server before sending mail".
Click "OK", then "Next", then "Finish".

You'll receive an SMTP error or failed delivery message that includes "554 Message not allowed" when the content of a message you're trying to send violates Yahoo Mail policies. Content that violates policies includes; objectionable links, malicious attachments, or bad header information.

If you're the administrator for the mail server in question, review your outgoing messages for obectionable content or practices.

554 error messages

Usually, the "reason: 554 mail server permanently rejected message" email is received because the mail server thought your email is spam. If you are trying to send an attachment, that's your problem! Try changing the extension of the attachment by compressing the file in a .Zip archive file.

I have seen around ten questions just like yours today. What email service are you using? This sounds like a problem with the server on the emaill side. It should go back to norm in a few days if not sooner.

Email problem 554

problem 554 says that the email has been rejected by the mail server. probably because it thinks the Email as spam. if you attached a file to the messege' changing the extension of the file, like using WINZIP or WINRAR to change the format and re-attaching the file in its compressed version might help

Can not activate gprs on china mobile

to connect to the internet or set up email or to send mms you must activate the GPRS first from your network provider ...The best thing you can do is to contact the customer care of your network provider and ask for the activation of GPRS ...
they will tell you the procedure to activate it ....
they will tell the number to which the message to be sent to recieve the settings ....
so note that down and then follow the procedures told by them ...
you will receive the gprs settings(profile) also ... make sure of the charges with them there will be many plans & then get activated ...
after this you will able to connect to internet ....
if the customer people tell you that your handset is not compatible for the receiving of the profile settings then you must tell them to give the manual settings(includes ip address,APN,etc) so that you can only create the profile and input the information given by the customer care people...

if you have already subscribed the GPRS then call the customer care of your network provider & ask for the settings by telling your model of the handset ..
