My LCD touchscreen on my DCR-SR45 fades to white

To resolve the issue,

Please open the LCD screen to locate the RESET button.
To reset the Camcorder, just press the RESET button using a sharp-pointed object.
Please make sure that the Camcorder is turned on while pressing the RESET button.

If the issue still persists, Power Reset the camcorder.

To reset the Camcorder, please remove the batterypack from the Camcorder and then set the Power Switch to ON for 15 seconds.
Then, reinsert the batterypack after 1 minute and check if that helps.
