Question about Canon Pixma iP2600 Photo InkJet Printer
I'm running OSX 10.6.2 on a brand new i-mac.
i was able to set-up an ECRM stringray printer/rip and print to it successfully for about a week. a few days ago, i "canceled" a print job as it was coming over to the rip through the ECRM RipMate software.
now, when i try and print to the ECRM rip from my mac, my print dialogue will show the job spooling LPR to 100%, then nothing happens.
the job leaves the print queue and there is no output, this happens quickly.
i did delete the printer and recreate/reconnect it but i still get the same result, spooling LPR to 100%, then nothing...
i do have two other older macs that have no problems printing to my ECRM stingray/rip.

The drivers are here:
Did you connect the printer via the USB cable when prompted?
Also check the instruction manual to make sure it was setup correctly.

SOURCE: I can ping, but I can't print
Sounds like firmware is not correctly installed. Did you try installing a network kit yourself? You need to get a tech to upgrade firmware using SST. This should install onto the copier the RUI and PS/PCL so you can print.

SOURCE: Printer keeps pausing itself!!
The parallel port cannot be used for printing by default. Heaps of people have made this mistake. You need a N Boot Rom installed and N system software. Almost certainly you don't.
Get a Network Multi PDL Printer Kit C1 for IR3300 (contains N Boot Rom and NIC aka ethernet port). A technician can install this and update system software and you will be able to print. You will be able to print over a network (which is the preffered option) use Remote User Interface and Pull Scan using Canon Network ScanGear (google it).
