I have the driving force. Sadly I lost the adapter and tried one with almost the same specifications as the old one. It got kind of wrecked, and my force feedback function is gone.
Anyways, the specs (which you can find at the bottom of the driving wheel) is: 24 Volts, 750 mA
Game Devices like these (force feedback devices), also require power adapters to power the motors used. In this case a steering wheel will producesa more realistic effect thanks to these motors.
I am also seeking an answer to this question...
What is the voltage and current requirements of this device?
So far I have only found information on the "Driving Force Pro" which is the next model up from what I have. In the forum a guy says he reakons the specs are

Center Pole Positive
....But like I said, that is not based on my model.
I mean, it doesn't mater a bit if the current on the power adapter I use is a decent amount higher than the original one, but... ...what voltage do I need?
Is it 18v or 12v, or even 24volts like the Pro version.
750ma also does sound quite low though doesn't it? I dont quite know to trust this information to be honest, would 750ma be enough current to power the motor with enough tourque to put a force on the person using it?
I mean as I said before it doesnt matter about so much about how much current I have available, but the fact that this guys says a low 750ma makes me think twice before I break it ; -)

I bought a replacment adapter from logitech it cost 10$ It is the same one for the momo wheel
I have the power adapter for the same model, and it is indeed 24 volt dc, .75 amp. P=iV (power = current x Voltage. as the voltage is high compared to the 5 Volt USB connection, you can get allot of power from the 24 volts seperate power supply as opposed to the models out there which use USB power. They would require to draw 3.75 Amp to get same (potential) power from the external adapter. No USB can handle that....
The model no. from Logitech is ADP-18LB C for the 220 Volt version...P/N 190211-A110

If it's USB it's 5 volts. USB only supplies 5 volts for anything plugged in to the port.

It's OK to use a power supply with a bigger current capacity than needed. If you find once with, say, 24V and 1.0A then that's usable - the wheel will draw as much as it needs.
Therefore:
Same voltage (24V)
Same or greater current (=>0.75A)
Same polarity (positive centre)

The G25 power supply output is stronger: 24Vdc, 1.75A, same polarity.
As long as output voltage, polarity, amperes and connectors are the same you should be fine using a compatible unit, if you find one. In your case it would be 24V, 0.75A, positive inside, but if I were in you I'd wait for some American Driving Force owner to confirm this to be completely sure. The American psu model should however be GAD-SLU-240A8, 110V input, same PSU as Driving Force Pro. Take a look at this for more info.
I received this from a forum with people that had the same issues as you and I hope this helps. It seems like they're saying that a store bought universal power supply may mess up your wheel so be careful. If this helps, please leave feed back. FIXYA!

I have the logitech driving force pro and I am trying to use it on ps3 for nascar 09..It does not work at all,the wheel does not do anything like it did on ps2 with the auto calibration and all that.I did loose the power supply and tried one that fit,but I am guessing its not the right volts.does anyone know what the correct power supply is and if there is some setting on the ps3 that enables the steering wheel.oh and where I can get a new power supply.....
