My KDL-52W4100 just started doing the same thing. It blurs down the right side of the screen, then goes back to normal after it warms up. Does anyone know whats up with this?
Unfortunately the warranty company went out of business.... Took everyones money, then closed down... I learned my lesson with buying off the internet from these places that have the "best price." I also learned to live with the blur until it warms, after all its only 15 min's until it clears up so I just leave it on all day. Once this set dies, I will buy a SAMSUNG from a major retailer.

Any warranty left on the set? Still sounds like the LCD panel or the video driver board...very expensive.
This is a defective panel and not worth repair. It's the connections on the lcd sheet ribbon cables and can't be reattached by regular soldering. I have seen this many times.
Guys,
any suggestion for for this blurred down one side??? it happen evert day on my Sony TV. Can you please advise
SOURCE: LCD blue on bottom screen
replace the cold cathode(s) that lights your display it is like a small florescent lamp
SOURCE: sony bravia lcd
Sounds like a possible T-con board failure. Which would need to be done by experienced tv repairman

It displays image very blurry first(like bad resolution) when tv is turned ON and even can not even read something written on screen, but after few minutes, image gets clear as normal.
blurred down? Like a color band from top to bottom? or distorted colors? may be the screen, not repairable. Still under warranty?
My 5 year old Sony Bravia LCD 52" is doing that aoso and then the picture clears up beautifully after the set warms up. I called the Alterman Audio and TV company where I bought it and the owner told me that the panel needs to be changed and that it is expensive. He told me to check with Sony to see if there was a recall on the panel otherwise I would do better to buy a new tv instead of trying to fix the one that I hve. I will keep my tiv till it poops out completely and buy a different brand, Norman Hingle form Kenner La.
