This could be several things thermal fuse,hi limit thermostat, flame sensor, ignitor,or coils. There is a video on troubleshooting a gas dryer at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html this will walk you thru the troubleshooting procedure. It is a different model but troubleshooting will be the same. You could also check the video on the electric heating element replacement that is a kenmore 90 and most of the parts will be the same. That one will give you a good idea of what thermostat is what.

Kenmore 70 series gas dryer (Whirlpool model) will not ignite!!!!

>> Do you know where the flame sensor is located? I figure the ignitor is where the "glowing" occurs and the gas line feeds to. Thanks for your help!<<

The flame sensor is right next to the ignitor. Also see this link for what it looks like:

I have a Kenmore Series 90 gas dryer. Works fine.

The only source of a gas leak from inside the dryer itself is the gas valve. They can sometimes leak a little gas when you first turn the gas on after hooking it up. If your gas pressure is normal (and I'm guessing the plumber checked it) and your other gas appliances are working properly, the dryer gas valve is faulty and should be checked by a qualified appliance servicer.

My Kenmore 90 series dryer's pilot light is out. What can I do? I have a Kenmore 90 Series Model 76912692, Stock 76912, Serial No. MG2701491. Is it straight forward to change the igniter? How much does it...

If your flame sensor is open then the ignitor will not fire up. Read more
