Very old astatic 525 mike wiring

I found a very old astatic mike it says 525 astatic corp.on the back and contact usl on the front it looks like a old noise canceling mike,it has 4 wires ....red,black,bare,and one clear colored wire i was wondering if it was a regular mike or noise-cancelling and how to wire it to fit galaxy dx-44,66..etc.thanks

Hello..maybe not a solution..but a hint..measure red-black for 0 ohms while pushing "ptt button" i think it's ptt...bare and transparent is mike...but you can look at original mike and make the same measurement for finding out what is ptt..the two others is mike ...good luck...Ron

wire it the same way you would wire up a cobra 29 ltd classic. If you have the manual for the Galaxy it shows in there how to wire it. I have two of them. the manual can be found on cbtricks.com

Need to couple Astatic D-104 mike to Yaesu FT-847 Radio

Check the wiring diagram online for both. It's a pretty simple connection setup.. Look at mods.dk for possible answers.

Mike wire color coat.

1 is shield (and may also need blue for astatic mic or red for turner mic)
2 is audio (white on astatic and turner mics)
3 is Transmit (Red on astatic mic or blue on turner mic)
4 is receive (Black on both astatic and turner mics)

Looking to install astatic echo board in uniden PC78XL

usally on most radios you will unplug the wire that comes from the number two mic plug. you will hook you sheid witch is the 2 little black wires from the echo board to number one mic plug. then the two wires will go to wire you unplug and the other one will go to number 2 mic plug.
