Television inputs keep telling me that i have no signal or no input when i try to switch over and use my ps3. this is weird because i was using it when this problem occurred, so everything should be plugged in correctly. I tried unplugging and plugging everything back in and i also tried switching the power off. I don't know what else to do.

Try resetting the signal from the PS3.
Press the power button and hold it until you hear a few beeps in a row.
Power it off again, then back on.
Make sure to have the TV set to the input the PS3 is connected to & turned on before starting the PS3.

The screen is black and a little box that says no signal is moving around on the screen

Check your inputs. The no signal box means exactly that - there's no incoming signal for the TV to decode. So you've either disconnected a cable somewhere or turned off your input device.
Try changing the inputs on the TV (this will be a button saying input or A/V)
Try changing the channels
Check that your cables are correctly connected and that whatever you are trying to use (dvd player, PS3, etc) is turned on.
Check that your TV is tuned to the corresponding input it is plugged in to (if you plugged your DVD player into HDMI input 8, tune your TV to input 8)
Hope this helps.

My tv is not picking up any hdmi signals from my ps3 and xbox. whats wrong?

The first step for this issue is to try a hard reset. Hook up the PS3 with both the Analog cable and the HDMI, set the TV to the Composite (analog) Input that you have chosen. Then, while the PS3 is off (red light), press and hold your finger on the power button for approx. 10-15 seconds until it beeps again. This will reset the PS3. After it turns back on, go through the set up steps, and after, it may tell you it has detected an HDMI connection, say yes and switch the TV to the HDMI input you hooked it up to. Click on yes before the timer ends and you should be all good.

TV says "no input signal" when using any of the 4 HDMI inputs. Was working before when we installed a PS3 and a HDMI cable to view a blueray movie in high def. We exchanged the PS3 and cable thinking they...

Either the hdmi input has a bad capacitor or the cables are bad. You can try different cables or connections. If the result is the same, then the input on tv is bad probably due to faulty capacitor

I am having trouble hooking up a PS3 I am receiving no signal

is there buttons on the tv where you can switch inputs? if so try using those and get to the correct input. that would tell you if it is the remote or the tv.

Unusable signal prompt on video input

be sure to cycle thru the input selections-- either w/Remote (input button), or channel +/- on the panel. my truflat 26" hd set has side/front/video1 video2 inputs, yours may have more or less. also, be sure you've plugged into an INPUT set, not an OUTPUT set. Does sound work otherwise on this set? If not, maybe interal speakers (menu setting) is set to off/not checked.

And on your PS3--goto the settings menu, sound outputs, make sure you select A/V connector and analog sound. The ps3 cable can become sloppy too, wiggle/check/reseat or try another cabe (usually video is touchy more than the sound though)

If you KNOW you've got the right input selected and the PS3 is setup properly, do you have another device with audio output to test on the TV? a notebook computer, walkman, cd player--anything that has rca outputs for sound--quick swap the cables to the new 'test' device-- if sound is OK with test device, either PS3 setting or cable is bad/wrong. if no sound from test device on TV either the tv is not using proper inputs, or is damaged, or the test device is not properly configured. If you have another input receiving device to test the ps3 output sound, like the LINE INPUT on a notebook computer, or a boombox with Aux inputs, test the PS3 sound output too.

HDMI ON ILO 32HD

it sounds like there is a problem with either the output on the PS3 or the input on the circuit board of the TV. I would try a reset on the PS3 first. Also make sure that there are no other video or audio cords plugged into the PS3 because this will cause the PS3 not to send the signal via the HDMI.
