Paul, if it has a clutch, yes. If belt drive, check tensioner and replace belt.

Are you using the correct setting? Some settings only spin slowly (for delicates for example) and other settings spin at various speeds. When the load is off balance it doesn't get up to full speed either.
If it used to work at full speed, is your belt loose and slipping when spinning? Motor could be going at full speed but the drum is not. Is there an unusual or different sound? Possible smell of rubber as it slips?

these machines can get seized bearings, which can stop the bowl from turning at full speed. probably the motor after this.the clutch should affect full spin speed only if it's worn. this fault can be a timer issue also.

there is a tacho on the motor that controlls the speed you cant just get the tacho you have to replace the whole motor

LE toward the end of cycle probably means you had a bulky load which you tried to spin out at the high spin speed setting. Use a low spin speed with bulky loads. For this load now, just put power on and without selecting a cycle, push the spin speed selector button until a low speed comes up (should be about a 14 minute display) then push start to do a pump and spin only cycle.

I would suspect that you have a Motor and Motor Control Problem. This washer has a three phase motor in it and it could have one phase out of it or the Motor Control board could be bad. However it is recommended that you replace both at the same time with a motor conversion kit.

Your belt may be slipping and not spinning the drum to full speed to rid most of the water in clothes.

It will not spin while washing, it's more of a rocking back and forth. As far as the spin cycle. If it's not reaching full speed I bet you'll notice that it's not doing the full cycle because the load is bouncing around and cause the washer to shut off. take some of the clothes out and watch it spin the water out.

you both may have a slipping belt, but not likely. the belt is easy to replace, but you have to get under the unit to access the belt. then just turn the new belt onto the pulleys.
i would guess you may have a drain problem thats causing the unit to not spin properly. make sure the unit is out of water before it goes into the full spin speed, if not then it wont get up to full speed spin.
if it wont drain all the way, then check to see if the pump is plugged with lint or just may have a worn bearing in the pump.

The load might be unbalanced, and will not spin at full speed as it could damage the machine. Try reloading the machine.
