Screen dull on Janome mc 8000

My Janome MC 8000 display screen has suddenly gone dull it is hard to read do I need a new screen or is there a bulb behind the screen?thanks.

There is an LCD Backlight Panel that illuminates the screen, and yes, they do fail.
Before you start, just check the screen contrast dial inside the top cover, front right, they can be easily knocked and this will also cause the screen to go light or dark.
Janome no longer supplies the LCD Backlight, however, we have an after market replacement at our store, and also provide fitting instructions and a good deal more besides.
If you care to contact me I can send a Diagnostic Routine and the Screen Reset instructions for you to check if there is anything else causing troubles.
Please remember to give details of your dilemma as we do receive a lot of requests.

Memory Craft 8000 LCD almost non-useable. Are replacement screens available?Is there any way to repair the display?
Yes, they can be replaced, we have them in stock. But first there are some questions about whether there are also issues with stitch selecting IN ADDITION to the dark screen, to ensure you would actually benefit from the repacement.

Hi where can I get new screen for my MC 8000
Janome no longer supply this component, however they are available in Australia at this site .....just scroll down to find the LCD Backlight to suit the Janome MC 8000 and MC 5700 on this page...HERE
Instructions for installation are also sent in advance so you can decide whether you feel up to the task or would prefer it were done by a technician.
We can also advise your nearest Janome Tech if required, just ask.
