I also have this tv. i removed backcleaned mirrior, back of screen and lenses VERY GOOD. Then turned on tv go to convergence, sepaerate cross hairs then adjust focus on lenses. Then lenses rotate maybe about a 1/3 turn total by hand. Grab ring that houses lenses and turn until cross hairs are as clear as possible. This can be done with out help by watching inside of screen. red and green are adjustable, the blue is adjustablealso but i couldnt find blue cross hairs, maybe by covering red and green lenses the blue will show on screen. anyway when done and cross hairs are clear, lenses, mirror and screen are clean, you can adjust covergence and get a very clear screencleaning will also brighten pic. I would like to buy one of these old magnavox projection tvs. If you would sell, I will pay any fair price and pick it up. I need it to compare to an old one for teaching purposes.

The color is kinda faded an blurry (sorta) its a 50 inch JVC projection TV..... i have tried to go into the menu screen an change the color the brightness an all that but when i do it doesnt change it...

Well, the bulbs can be up to 260 dollars per lamp, depending on the TV and if the bulbs are separate. It's not very hard to change them out if you have a little experience in taking those types of items apart, but I would definitely look into it.

The curser keeps jumping when i type

Hi,
I presume you have a touchpad under your keyboard.
Usually the hand position when you type is such, that it's very easy to involuntarily lighlty touch the touchpad with the base of your thumb, usually the right one, when you move the hand over the touchpad, mostly in the up-left direction.
This causes the cursor to move to some other place, usually up and to the left, resulting in the next characters you type being put in that place :)
Try to keep your hands a little bit more above the touchpad when you type. Also, many touchpad drivers have settings for ignoring light touches/drags, try looking into these settings in your pointing device properties.
As an aid, I would recommend a soft gel wrist support, which automatically elevates your palms above the keyboard.

Windows Vista

What you need is Disable and Turn Off ClearType Fonts in Windows Vista

Windows Vista by default applies ClearType effect to the fonts displayed on screen, in order to improve the appearance of text on certain types of computer display screens, especially LCD flat-panel monitors. As ClearType text actually sacrifices color or chrominance details aspect of image quality for light and dark or luminance detail, some people may not like the blurry font style in ClearType. Here’s a easy way to disable or turn off ClearType in Windows Vista.

1. Right click on any blank spot of desktop, and then select Personalize on pop-up context menu.
2. Select Window Color and Appearance.
3. Click on “Open classic appearance properties for more color options” link located at the bottom of the page.
4. Click on the Effects button.
5. Do one of the following:

Uncheck (untick) the “Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts” box.

or

Select “Standard” to replace ClearType in the drop down list under the above title.
6. Click OK, then click Apply, and finally finish with clicking OK again.

To enable or turn on ClearType effect again, simply reverse the setting in the Effects step.

Moisture? Blurry lens or moisture inside

I haven't tried this myself, but I have heard of folks putting their camera in sunshine, and just let it set , and others have used a hair dryer for short durations. Like I said I haven't tried these, and usually moisture is a camera killer.

Lexmark 3 in 1 x1270 scanner does lousy with certain colors ----blurry

Scanners (or copiers) can't improve on the image they are seeing.
If you view the labels under a bright light, you will see what the scanner is seeing too.

The only thing you can do is as you already have, use a photo editor to correct those cosmetic flaws before printing.
