I have a Bosch dishwasher model SHU66. Clean water slowly pools in the base when the dishwasher is not in use. We need to drain the DW every 12 hours or water will overflow onto the floor. Is this an isue with the Water valve assembly on the dishwasher?

IT SOUND LIKE IT IS A WATER VALVE ISSUE.DRAIN AND CANCELTHE MACHINE FIRST THEN TRY TO SHUT OFF THE WATER GOING INTO THE MACHINE PROBABLY UNDER THE SINK. SEE IF THE WATER IS STILL COMING IN TO UNIT. IT SHOULD NOT BE. THEN TURN ON WATER IF THE WATER STARTS TO FILL MACHINE THEN CHANGE THE WATER VALVE.

Bosch dishwaser. starts and stops, it will say clean. leaves water in the bottom. we purchased a new pump and still not working? :( :(

All dishwashers leave a little water in the bottom. However, I suspect there's an appreciable amount in the machine. I'd suggest you lift out the filter and check the drain port.

Water not pumped out of dishwasher

To cut a long story short, lower the drain pipe as close to the floor as you can. Some dish washers have a non return rubber which holds the water in the cabinet until asked to drain.Meaning water wont just flow out with pipe being low.(Im assuming the drain pump is operating correctly).Check if this alteration makes any difference.

My ge dishwasher will drain but after a few hours

Could be a crack in the tub, bad seal at the pump if water is leaking out onto the floor. If water is pooling inside the DW then a bad water control valve allowing water to leak back into the tub from the source.

I actually don't know what type of Bosch I have. I know that is a problem, but maybe you can still help. It has a simple panel that says: Pot Scrubber, regular wash, quick wash, rinse and hold. When I turn...

On a Bosch dw, it has a light sensor to sense soil in the water.. if the control feels that the water going through the sensor is not clean/ or clean it will add or minus time..one thing you can do is make sure that your drain line from dw to sink drain is cleared of debris.. also, make sure you clean the filter at bottom of dw and make sure its reinstall correctly if you haven't already do so.. if your dw finish the cycle and come out clean, then the time on your dw is fine,, but if it don't finish and come out dirty.. then, it could be something other, but don't know til I get the full details on problem.. help this will do it for ya.. good luck.. mike

Bosch dishwasher SHU66C02UC

You have water in the base of the machine. There is a flood float in the bottom so if any water gets into the base, it will shut off the water and run the drain pump as long as the power button is on. So shut off the breaker, remove the toe kick, and remove any water that is down there. Now start the machine and see if water is leaking into the base. If there isn't any water, an the dw is still running the drain pump, then with a wooden spoon raise the red plastice stick on the left side of the dishwasher up and down. It is possible that the overfil float is stuck. If this makes the dw start filling, then run cooking oil thru the dishwasher on the scrub cycle to remove excessive detergent. If you are in hard water, then the water deposits have caused this. Run citric acid ( Tang orange drink, Dishwasher Magic, or such) thru the dishwasher to remove this.

Bosch SHX46A dishwasher

I have a Bosch SHX46B05UC/14 and it stopped functioning right. It filled, it ran, it drained, it sounded okay, but I finally determined there wasn't enough circulation pump pressure to swing the spray arms. Turns out the problem was a pump pressure adjustment screw, accessible under the kick plate, had backed off--now if I can only figure out how to set it properly, low enough to clean the glassware, high enough not to break the pots and pans--or is it the other way around. I also found some beans in the drain sump (easy to remove cover plate from inside with a torx driver, large object trap not locked down properly and a riser for the upper spray arms not press fit sufficiently into pump outlet (I wonder if I blew the line while setting pump pressure. I AM looking for guidance on how to properly set the pump pressure, for the moment, I simply turned it into its spring loaded range and cranked it down a few turns.

Drain pump and no water going in

It sound as a water level switch issue. The switch level is usually a diaphragm device with a small clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. I am not familiar with this specific machine, but if you will open the service panel you will find it easily. Clear tube first from any obstruction, In case it doesn't help, disconnect the wires from the unit (you should disconnect first machine's power cable !!!!!) and measure with a multi-meter on its tugs for continuity and disconnection while you are inhale and blow to its tube. In case it doesn't react, you should replace it. Good luck !
