With this model, remove the dust tank, and turn it on, check for suction at the lower intake. If you have suction, install the tank and remove hose, and check for suction there. keep following until youn lose it. Then you problem will be between those 2 areas

Red light indicator comes on with suction only

Hi there Christy! It sounds like you possibly have a clog in your main hose. To check the hose for clogs remove the hose completely from the vacuum from both ends. Use a broom stick or something similar to loosen and remove any clogs from the hose. Remove the bottom plate and the brushes. Use a wooden spoon to gently break up and remove any clogs from the lower hose. Hope this helps!

Hoover Freemotion Pets 200W has lost most of it's suction!

if you take out the dirt cup at the top there should be a half moon orange that releases. inside of this half moon is a washable filter. rinse with warm water and let it dry completly before putting back into the machine. this should restore your suction. hope this helps.

I have no suction with my Hoover Mach 5 vacuum.

I had a similar problem. Two things to try. There is a lock symbol on the canister you need to ling it up with the mark on the top (the silver part has a line on it). It can be assembles 3 different ways. Also I over looked the sticker in the back of the canister compartment indicating a filter in the top of the canister compartment. There is an orange lever there to release the filter. Hope this helps.

My hoover mach 6 bagless overheats, shuts off for about an 1 hr will run again, all filters are clean, no blocks in hoses, how can i fix this problem

This is telling you that there is poor air flow or a blockage somewhere. To simply check for proper suction, remove the accessory hose to see if there is normal suction, if not then your problem is further in the unit. Troubleshooting from there will tell you where the problem is. Another possibility is that your thermal overload circuit is faulty. in this case a pro vac shop needs to service the issue.

Poor suction-need to know how to remove & clean filter under canister of Hoover Wind Tunnel Mach 4.7 Twin Chamber System.

I assume this is a Hoover Bagless, if poor suction, the hose or dirt inlet by the brush roll may have a clog. The filter inside the dirt container may need replacement. Some had a screw to take out to remove the cover for the filter, the one under where hte dirt container sits. Alos the belt may be stretch and won't turn the brush roll under load. Having the model number would help.

Hoover mach 5 only used 3 times

If the filters are ok, and there is no clog in the hose or dirt inlet down by the brushroll, then the motor protector is probably bad.
