Panasonic dvd player's dvd-rv22 presents error code H07 after reading the disk and presenting the 'play movie' screen. removed the cover and what it does is read the disk (spindle starts up), plays warning message for dvd, presents video 'play, etc, the spindle stops, system locks up with 'h07' and pauses. Pushing the open/close button doesn't release the disc and the dvd player is unresponsive. Turned off/on power and open/close and the disc is released. replace the disc, close the tray and scenario repeats. what do i do????
You can get a region free player program on your computer and then you will be free from the region code issues. You could try Leawo Blu-ray Player which is a free Blu-ray player and you could use it to play any DVD and Blu-ray discs.
I tried the WD-40 and it worked........thanks a million !!
SOURCE: Troubleshooting -- Displays H07 code
The H07 error message in Panasonic DVDs means problem in the motor. It can be something like "motor isn't spinning-up" or "spindle motor problem". When you call Panasonic, they will tell you that they cannot tell what H07 means until a technician look at it. Obviously, they won't admit it is a known problem. Estimate cost: from $50 to $70 dollar to replace the motor + labor + tax.

While stopped, press and hold REWIND and PAUSE on the unit and then also press and hold OPEN/CLOSE on the unit until Initialized appears from the display. Turn the unit off and on again. If it is still not working, Panasonic Consumer Support recommends having the product checked by an authorized Panasonic service center.
SOURCE: Error Message H07 - what is it?
Ho7 is a very common problem with the panasonic dvd players. It means that the spindle motor didnt come up to speed and shut down, Thus the spindle motor needs to be replaced. Good Luck

HELLO
I have just recently posted a cure for this - but here we go again. Fault H07 is the fault code for the spindle/disc motor and to cure it do this!
With the lid of the player removed, locate the spindle and where the motor shaft goes into the motor itself, use a little light oil or WD40. Let it soak in a while and try it again - you should now find it works.
Why this works I just don't know - it just does! (:-)
