I could not find a manual, but try this: connect live audio and video signals to input and surf down channels past ch. 2 to see if it goes to the video input.

Is my apex tv AT2702 high def??

According to apex its not and does not have a digital tuner the only way this can be high def would be 720P meaning 720 lines progressive scan.

Your aspec Ratio is 4:3 this indeed is a standard TV without a digital tuner so you will need a digital setop box or a digital tuner.

High DEF is not considered digital its conidered how many lines are displayed on the TV. For example 720p, 1080p .

How do i get to the channel to watch a dvd

You will need to connect the video and audio from your DVD to the Input of the TV. So use a RCA cord to connect from the video output /audio output of the DVD player to the AV/Input/video input/audio input of the TV. Now use your remote to select the AV channel and your video and sound will come. Do this carefully . Hope you try. Good day

Zenith TV has no place for yellow, red, white composite plugs

This TV doesn't have an AV input, so there are no input jacks other than the antenna connector. If you want to connect a device that has only AV outputs (your red, white and yellow plug) you will need an RF converter. This will take the AV signals and convert them to a channel 3 or 4 signal you can tune in on the set.

But since you don't seem interested in spending any money, you'll probably not like to hear that the converter runs around $15 most places. Take heart, there is an alternative. Find a VCR (if you don't have one already) that has an RF output. Many of the the newer DVD/VCR combos only have AV outputs. You're looking for one that has an "out to TV" threaded connector on the back. These units already have an RF converter built in. Connect your AV plugs to the line in jacks on the VCR and switch to that input, and you can use your video game or DVD player through the VCR.

External input

I'm not overly familiar with your brand, but generally there are 2 ways to get to the AV input.

1) Use the TV/Video button on the remote (if there is one)
2) Channel up or down from the last channel at the high or low end. In other words: channel down from channel 2 may bring you to the AV input.

Hope this helps,
Dan

29" crt tv video and sound problem

Is it possible that the input to the TV is still good including cables and cable box or anything? If another TV works from the same input then it may be the TV settings like AV/video rather than TV channels. Check all this out. I hope it is something simple as that. Good Luck.

Unable to record from tv

I have the same problem and I called Zenith for support. I was told that the ZBR716 does NOT have a "tuner", so the only way you can record what is on TV is if, and only if, the TV has OUTPUTS (3 connectors), which could be connected to the ZBR716's inputs. But then you could only record what is currently being watched on TV. You could not record and watch something else, or set up to record something at a particular time on a particular channel, because the TV has to be on.

Unfortunately, I didn't look into this until some time after I bought the unit, so I can't return it. I was told to get a VCR/DVD recorder WITH a tuner.

I, too, had a VCR with a separate coax connection for the incoming cable tv,and it worked like your other one did.

My fault for not looking into it sooner, Circuit City's fault for selling me something when I was very specific about what I wanted and what I wanted to do with it.

you can call zenith yourself, go to www.zenith.com and hit the support page and eventually you'll find the phone number.

good luck.

Missing Channels

you may have a bad tuner that is the part that changes the channels. If there is the input jacks you can use them to input a VCR or cable box and use them as a tuner
