My Transcend SD HC 8 GB memory card was showing my photos fine on the camera and on the laptop, but when I tried to save them to my laptop, I got a message saying there was a parameter error and the card needs to be formatted. I want to save my pictures before I format the card. How can I recover my pictures?

Try using a separate card reader instead of your camera.

I cannot insert my Transcend SD 2 GB memory card in the camera. Is there only 1 type of memory card that can be inserted?

Make sure there's nothing in the slot, and you've got the card oriented properly. The i1237 works with SD and SDHC cards. The Transcend 2GB SD card should work fine.

What size memory card does the kodak easyshare cx6200 take?

The internal memory for this camera is 8 MB.

The manual indicates using memory cards of size 8 to 128 MB, so this is an early SD memory camera, following the original SD standard. Do not try SDHC or SDXC cards. The camera will support a 1 GB card. It *might* support a 2 or 4 GB card, but since this is a 2 Mpixel camera, a 512 MB or 1 GB card will allow you to save thousands of jpeg format pictures.

Just purchased a Transcend 4 GB SD HC memory card and it will not format in my camera or in the computer. Help! What can I do to get this thing to work?

If you cannot format the memory card using the format function of the camera, please connect the camera to your computer and use the computer to access your memory card and format fromt the computer.

Alternatively you can also use a memory card reader and connect the memory card to your reader and connect it inturn to your computer and format it from the computer

Should you use an 8gb sd memory card in a panasonic lumix dmc-fx3 camera ?

Hi,

The manual lists the following SD cards compatible:

4 GB SDHC Memory Card
2 GB SD Memory Card
1 GB SD Memory Card
512 MB SD Memory Card
256 MB SD Memory Card
128 MB SD Memory Card
64 MB SD Memory Card

An 8GB card may or may not work. If you try it, make sure it is an SDHC card. (Note: HC=High Capacity)

Thanks for using Fixya.

Camera Memory Card Capacity

Hi there, and welcome to FixYa.

First, make sure your cards are either, SD or MMC. Any other type won't work.
If they are SD and/or MMC cards, then the reason the cards aren't working is because they have to be formatted in the camera BEFORE you use them. Use the camera to format the cards, don't use your pc or a card reader.
The manufacturer says to use a 2gb card, but that doesn't mean you can't try a higher one. The only thing is that maybe it won't format the card right. Or, it may slow down the processing speed. It won't hurt the camera any.
Have fun with your camera. If you have any further questions, leave me a comment, and don't forget to rate my solution.
