Starts burning DVD, it takes like hour and a half

i would try white label cd`s as they burn better,then as you burn ,in settings turn burn speed down to a low setting.x2 x4 as it burns deeper onto cd`s.

try to burn your DVD in slow speed. and try to see whether the file which you are trying to burn is intact without any errors.

So any program you use to burn DVD's fails, sounds like the burner or a driver isure. What OS and are the updates done, is there a update for lightscribe

I TRY TO AVOID USING CONVERTDX TO DVD I FIND I USE NERO BURNING ROM WHICH WORKS AWSOME JUST TAKES A WHILE BUT THE QUALITY IS A1 AND THE SOUND IS 5.1 IF UD LIKE A COPY JUST ASK ME ITS AWSOME FOR RECENT DWNLOADS OFF TOURANTS AS WELL....

Please download and install this program this is CDBurnerXP
1 start the program
2 insert a blank DVD
3 when you see this screen from the uper half of the screen drag and drop all files you want to burn on the dvd to the bottom half
4 click burn and you are gud to go

I also advice you to buy NERO because it will make this process really easy

try reinstalling the dvd rom.if after the reinstallation, no changes, It might be a hardware problem.

I had a similar problem and fixed it by buying a £10 external USB enclosure, ripping the drive out of the computer and putting it into the enclosure.

Make sure you are not running other processes that take up memory space, specially Anti virus programs.

load the firmware AS DIRECTED for your drive- they are specific to open the software and then install the firmware- it works in the LOGICAL order only- took me hours to follow directions and fix it
