washers dont have heating elements, they use hot water from the hot water tank, most likely clogged screen at either end of the hot water hose, replace or clean screen(s) check for screen at water valve, bad, weak or burned solenoid on water valve, replace valve, reason wash cycle is long----- water restriction during fill and rinse cycles they are controlled by the water level switch
Possible failure of the heating element. Please check the continuity of the coil and if possible the voltage to the coil , if there is voltage at the cycle then the element is open. check this link: heating element.
That sounds like you have one of them fancy water saving outfits with a diverter valve that dumps the pump water continuosly over the clothes. Weirdest washer I ever saw. Could be the solenoid that opens the drain pump has failed. Don't know too much about em but I do have the service manual. Post your model number for a more precise answer. Check that the machine is heating the water. if it is not, then it is likely the heating element at fault, or one of the two thermostat switches that control it.
It will not continue if it is waiting for the water to heat.
Try it with just a rinse and spin. If it rotates on this, then it will be a heater fault, as no heating is selected in this cycle.
If it will not spin on that cycle, troubleshoot the drive and motor. Check belt condition and motor brushes for wear.
