Westinghouse sk-32h540s TV, VGA input, image can't center.

When I watch my laptop via the vga video input, the image will lose it's central location and the tv will try to replace it in various locations on the screen. After 20 seconds, the tv recenters the image. Resolution is set at 1280x800 @ 60hz. This happens sporadically, every 10 mins or so. I've never had this problem with the antenna or hdmi inputs. Any suggestions? (westinghouse sk-32h540s)

Hello, two things, one try using the TV with the native resolution of 1366 X 768, and secondly try updating your video card. If you are not having this issue with the TV on the other inputs than most likely it is a settings issue with the laptop. Please rate this comment if it was helpful.

How do i get my westinghouse sk 26h730s monitor to work with my HP desktop computer with windows XP?

There should not be a driver required for this. As long as your HP desktop has a VGA video or HDMI video output, you can connect to the back panel of the TV from the video port of the PC. Then, on the remote, select the "PC" option for VGA input, or HDMI for the HDMI 1 or 2 input(s). If the PC only has DVI output, then it is important to know if the output is analog or digital. If it is digital (DVI-D or DVI-DD] then there is no available port on the TV to support it. Using a DVI-VGA adapter on a DVI digital output will not work as there must be a digital-to-analog conversion in order to work.

How do I convert a Westinghouse 22" LCM-22w3 DVI/VGA LCD Monitor into an HDTV?

Dear Amy,

Normally, monitors do not have tuning electronics for capturing TV signals.
Therefore, consider the monitor as a "dumb" unit that only displays information coming from your computer. Also, this unit does not have a HDMI input, but only VGA.
So, you are fated to have this monitor connected to your computer, always.
Now, you may find good software that will "tune" the TV signals from streaming at the Internet and show whatever is being broadcast. The same way you can access YouTube and watch videos these TV tuners will get the streaming signals the TV stations send via Internet (not all do that) and watch the channel in your PC/monitor
Since I do not have additional information about the computer you use I cannot give you other ideas
I hope I have helped you.

My Westinghouse SK-32H540S TV comes on for about 5-10 seconds, then the picture goes off. The sound continues.

You need to replaced your Inverter Board, If you can do the job, get the Board Part number and order it from Westinghouse. If not call a Professional TV Technician. At least you have an idea what's the trouble with your set. Hope this Tip will help you. Thanks

Westinghouse SK-32H540S LCD HDTV Video Comes On,

Take a strong light and put it up against the screen. Do you see a faint image? if yes, then your backlight has failed. Could be a lamp, inverter or power supply issue. Not for DIY'ers.
