Might be clogged due to washing a pillow with fringe. There doesn't seem to be any water coming out of the drain hose. Is it possible to find and release this clog myself?
The pump wasn't as accessable as I would have liked. I loosened the only clamp I could reach and outpoured a whole bunch of water and a penny! My fingers are crossed that the penny was the only problem. Nothing was really shallow enough to catch the water that drained out and I had to just let it absorb into some towels. Is there an easier way? Thank you again! The pump wasn't as accessable as I would have liked. I loosened the only clamp I could reach and outpoured a whole bunch of water and a penny! if u add an extension to the drain hose it will take a long time to and go down the pvc pipe. Just check for clog. by giving it for service one time may work.
When Washing Machines electronic control has detected a condition then it indicate by showinh error code which needs to check. When you see a code, follow these steps to solve the problem.
However, there are several reasons that a washing machine won't drain or spin. The cause could be something as easy as a clog or something difficult that will need a licensed repairman. Start with the simplest possible cause and work down to the more difficult causes.
ChallengingInstructions And Things You'll Need:
·Screwdriver,Flashlight,Voltmeter,Wrenches,Bucket,Rags or mop.
A washing machine won't spin if the water can't drain. Check hoses for any kinks or clogs that may prevent the water from draining. If a hose has kinks, try to straighten out the kinked hose. If it can't be straighten sufficiently, replace the hose. If hoses are not kinked, check for clogged hoses. This can be done by using the screwdrivers to remove the hoses and looking for clogs or running a water hose through the clogged hose to remove the clog. Use the rags and bucket to clean up the water that comes out of the hoses when they are disconnected. Once the clog is cleared, put the drain hose back into place. The washer should drain and spin now if a clogged or kinked hose was the problem.
If the washer still won't drain or spin, check to see if the lid is not closing all the way or if the lid switch is not clicking into place. Close the lid and make sure that it closes all the way down. When the lid closes, the lid switch should click. If there is no clicking sound, then the switch may need to be replaced. Follow manufacturer's directions for replacing the switch. If the lid does not close all the way, visually check for signs that the lid is bent. If bent, try to bend it back into place.
Loose or broken belts could also prevent a washing machine from draining or spinning. Pull the washer away from the wall and, using the screwdrivers and wrenches, remove the back panel. Using the flashlight, visually check for any broken or loose belts. Replace any broken or loose belts. Although replacing washing machine belts is difficult, anyone who has replaced belts on a car , lawn mower or even a bicycle chain should be able to accomplish the task.
Another possibility for a washing machine to not spin or drain is the pump. With the back panel still off the washer, check the pump with the voltmeter to ensure that the pump is getting power. If the washer is getting power, turn on the washer and listen to find out if the pump is running but the water is still not draining. It may be necessary to remove the pump and clean it or to replace the pump with a new one. Once the pump is replaced, turn on the washer to determine if it will now drain and spin.
If all of the above steps fail to produce a washing machine that drains or spins, then it is time to call a professional repairman. Use the screwdrivers and wrenches to replace the panel on the washer and push it back against the wall.
Hi If the washer is not draining then it is due to a clogged drain pump or a drain filter or a kinked drain hose. To resolve the issue you’ll need to clean the drain hose, inspect if the drain hose is plugged. If the hose is fine, then remove the front kick panel and access the drain pump and filter, if you are unable to find the pump and filter remove the back panel as well and trace the drain hose to the bottom of the tub. There is a drain filter connected with the drain pump. It usually gets clogged, and needs to be cleaned every 6-8 months or so. The drain filter is a small white filter connected to drain pump with a hose. If it still doesn’t work then you’ll need to check the connections of the drain pump, check the connections with a multimeter. If it still doesn’t work then you would need to replace the drain pump. Please revert for any further assistance. Hope this helps...
A washing
machine won't spin if the water can't drain. Check hoses for any kinks
or clogs that may prevent the water from draining. If a hose has kinks,
try to straighten out the kinked hose. If it can't be straighten
sufficiently, replace the hose. If hoses are not kinked, check for
clogged
hoses. This can be done by using the screwdrivers to remove the hoses
and looking for clogs or running a water hose through the clogged hose
to remove the clog. Use the rags and bucket to clean up the water that
comes out of the hoses when they are disconnected. Once the clog is
cleared, put the drain hose back into place. The washer should drain and
spin now if a clogged or kinked hose was the problem.
If the
washer still won't drain or spin, check to see if the lid is not
closing all the way or if the lid switch is not clicking into place.
Close the lid and make sure that it closes all the way down. When the
lid closes, the lid switch should click. If there is no clicking sound,
then the switch may need to be replaced.

Thanks for using FixYa. This may happen due one or more than one of these issues with your washer-- Probably
there is something(coins, socks, dirt, debris, etc) stuck inside the drain
filter of your washer. You'll need to check the drain filter. To access the
drain filter. To check the drain pump follow these steps:
Unplug the washer to completely disconnect electrical power.Remove the bottom front service panel as shown in the first image below.
Also check your drain hose for a kink or clog. Check the washer house drain for a clog or restriction. Test the washer to see if it will drain properly.
This issue can also be due to clogged drain pump or drain filter, due to which the hose have developed leak. This will cause suds

Hello, LD stands for long drain.
If all the water isn't out of the unit within a certain time, the ld will flash.
Could be 2 things.
1) There's lint stuck in the pump preventing the water to drain properly or
2) You're using too much soap causing lots of suds also preventing the pump from draining properly. If this is the case, what you need to do is run the washer on full load with no detergent and clothes. Let it go thru the cycle and get rid of eccess suds. This is most likely your problem.
I would check the pump.
Follow the drain hose back to the pump, disconnect the outlet hose from the pump and disconnect the inlet hose from the pump. Look inside both hoses and the pump for pillow pieces.
The pump may have to be removed for cleaning, you should be able to turn the pump by hand, if not, replace the pump.
Inner tub.
Run some water in the washer with the inlet hose disconnected from the pump. You'll need a pan or bucket for the water to run into and look for pillow pieces.
Hello phylislw61,
If you had an incident where a pillow broke and feathers where dispersed throughout the washer..then there is a good chance that teh drain fiilter screen, pump or hose feeding the pump is clogged. I would verify that the filter is free from anything that would limit water flow from getting to the pump.. then if the problem is still there.. examine the pump itself to make sure it isn't clogged...
If you or someone in your family is reasonably handy, here is a link to your washing machines exploded view and parts and this should provide sufficient information for how to access the pump and associated hoses etc that feed into and out of it for cleaning..
If you are having problems after you verify the lines are free of restriction, feel free to contact me and I will try to assist you in solving your problem.. Here is the link.. http://www.pcappliancerepair.com/model-display.php

i think your on the right track but a couple of things you need to know first that model washer wont spin tiny loads or one articles of clothing it has a device in the motor called a tachogenerator to balance if you have only a small load it cant sense the balance and most of the time will only rock back and forth second your pump is the most likely culprit if you look in side the washer you will see a seem in the tub next to that will be one of the washer tumblers take the screws out of that tumbler slide it forward there will be a hole there rotate the tub to your right and you will find the hole going down to the drain pump can check it there but i don't think you'll find any thing as that is a larger hole it think your drain pump is now if you have a shop vac this is time to vacuum the water of the tub and all the way down the drain hole for the next stage usally i tell customers to remove the drain hose from the stand pipe and vacuum the water ou of the washer from the drain hose but because of the pillow this might not work in your case.now remove the two screws on the front lowerpanel and pull the panel
