My advice is to contact your telephony provider and get a adsl access...cause dial up will be expensive and hard to use...but if they provide internet too ...all you will need for a high speed connection is a modem and the settings from them ...after that you will have a monthly subscription that will not exceed 20 dollars ..

How do you get the ezbook pc windows embedded CE6.0 to connect to internet via dial up. Have a service, pulgged it up and unable to connect.

Dial up requires a modem instead of a LAN card. It uses an RJ-11 phone plug and not the bigger RJ-45 LAN plug. You also need a dial up internet service provider, and possibly software to make the phone call. There is a Connections setup in Internet Options, under Control Panel if you don't have the software.

So, you are right on track. Just make the call and enter the user name and password to finalize connection.

Can hook to the wifi, just not to the internet, any suggestions?

check the connection from your router to the phone line ensure you have a filter installed.
Then check the phone line with an ordinary phone to see if you get a dial tone.

If there are any problems with the dial tone or you still cannot connect, contact your service provider.

Hi there, I have a broadband connection with Virgin Media and I brought a Netgear Wireless G - Router WGR614 v9 which is connected up and works fine - or at least my iphone connects to it ok. I have...

1.Log into router
2. Verify wireless router name( on the computer) >>> ( on/off)
3.Note router name you are connecting to.
4.. Check the laptop do ipconfig /all to see current IP addresses.
5. Set the laptop up in the router by WEP KEY or MAC address.
6.Note router name you are connecting to.
7. Move the laptop about 20ft away and try to log on to the internet.
This is for all routers to set up wirelessly.

Will let me get in to the internet with out the wireless network.

Your laptop should have an ethernet port on your laptop. If you can plug your laptop with a Cat5 network cable and plug that cable into your internet source you should be able to connect to the internet.

Your internet source could be your modem or router. If you have dial-up, you would have to check to see if your netbook has a dial-up modem built into it.

If you do not have these available and no wireless available, you will be unable to connect to the internet.
