I think KMplayer is better than Windvd, and it is a free software, you can search it on google.
www.hishopnow.com is a good online shop for you to buy camcorders

The InterVideo WinDVD 5 program on my laptop not working!

Maybe your CD/DVD drive is a old drive :O( , for the new cd´s/DVD´s on the marked today actually many times you need a new drive for read them. Try first if you can install with the dll found on the link below.

You can find "wnaspi32.dll'' here : http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?wnaspi32

Ohter solutions:
1: get a external drive(not to old) and try install it with that
2: copy the cd to a usb storage on a computer thats have a new cd/dvd drive, use the usb storage to install it on your computer, use the dll file from the link.
Hope this can resolve the problem.

Intervideo windvd 7

Your antivirus is detecting the gpiproxy.dll as a "hacktool" or "virus". I suggest that you either uninstall or disable your AV when you reinstall WinDVD. I use Landesk AV and I finally figured out that the AV was not allowing the dll file to register or it was deleting it. So I uninstall Landesk, installed WinDVD and it worked fine. Afterwards I reinstalled Landesk and it still played the DVD fine.
