you can buy a new magnavox remote at amazon.ebay and a whole lot of different places. you can also check online to see whitch product the different universal controls support. but usually the original remote is better as its set up for the spesific product rather than support everything from tv, dvd to air cons in some cases

Hi, make sure you Comcast remote is in the "DVD" mode before attempting to work the DVD features. If it is still not working. You need to reprogram your Comcast remote to a different Magnavox DVD code because the code it is currently set for not fully compatible. It sounds like you would like to re-assign one of the function buttons on the remote to control a different device. If you would like to program the CBL/SAT button to control a DVD player, here are the steps:

1. On the remote, press and hold SET until the LED blinks twice, then release SET.
2. Enter 9 9 2. The LED will blink twice.
3. Press DVD/VCR once.
4. Press CBL/SAT once. The LED will blink twice. The CBL/SAT key is now ready to be set up to control your DVD player.

To setup the CBL/SAT button to control your Magnavox DVD player, follow these steps:

1. Turn on your DVD.
2. On the remote, press the CBL key once.
3. Press and hold SET until the LED blinks twice, then release SET.
4. Enter the first four-digit code from the following list: 0503, 0675. The LED will blink twice. If it does not blink twice, go back to step 2 and try the same code again.
5. Aim the remote at the DVD and press POWER. The device should turn off. If it does not turn off, repeat steps 2 through 5 with the next code in the list.

The code for MAGNAVOX MWD200F is 447 (247 partially works). It had been tested in two Philips universal remote controls (CL015 and CL035A).
