Dryer leaking water

This is a regular Amana dryer, NOT a washer/dryer combo.
I noticed the last couple of weeks, it is taking longer to dry the clothes.
Yes, the filter is clean.
Can you help?
Thanks

Having same problem. Taking forever or not at all to dry clothes. Vent CLEAN. Even took back vent off. When I did so about 2 tbs of water ran out. Whats up?? You suggested that heating element has gone faulty or tripped out. What does " Tripped Out" mean??? Is there a fuse/breaker to the heating element. Don't know if this has anything to do with anything, but our electricity has been going on & off with all the high winds this winter and spring - Thanks

I have a Whirlpool Duet dryer that is 4 years old and it's leaking water from the rear.  Sometimes the clothes are dry, sometimes they're warm, but wet.  Any ideas?

It sounds to me like the heating element that heats up to dry the clothes has gone faulty or tripped out. Cant really tell from here.. when you open the drier is there a good level of heat ? If not, its the heating element section at fault.

Supra washer/dryer combo leaking significantly

In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged or the drain hose clamps can be loose on the grip which can all cause the leak to occur. Removing and cleaning the drain pump/valve, tightening of the hose is also very important. Also water can leak if there are gaps on the front door gaskets and must be checked but this will happen only during the cycle and not on the drain cycle end.

Takes longer to dry clothes

Most of the time when your dryer is taking longer and longer to dry the clothes it is due to a clogged dryer vent. Just take the vent off and clean it. If the dryer cannot vent it cannot circulate the air inside the dryer

Amana dryer model YNED7200TW will not start. there is power, but start button does nothing. Resetting breaker did not work. Any ideas?

Thermal Fuse

Item #2986 (OEM Part)
$10.70

Thermal fuse. If the dryer overheats, this device stops the flow of electricity to the heat source and/or the entire dryer. It is located on the blower housing and cannot be reset. The most common cause for overheating is a vent tube clogged with lint, a birds nest or other debris.

The dryer is taking a long time to dry and water is leaking from under it.

Hello there:
Note: Normal drying time for a dryer is about 45 minutes (some may take up to an hour).

1. Venting
Make sure the dryer vent hose, as well as the rest of the vent duct, is not clogged.

Unless regular maintenance is performed, chances are there is a lot of lint accumulated inside the dryer. This might affect the drying time and could be a fire hazard. Make sure to have your dryer cleaned regularly. Because this might involve taking most of the dryer apart, it is recommended to have a qualified appliance repairman perform this task.

2. Thermostat
There are a couple of cycling thermostats inside the dryer. If one of them breaks down, it might affect the dryer's performance. Replace the defective thermostat.

Amana dryer does not heat sufficiently

The problem is the dryer coils are failing. They tend to fail as they heat up. They are inexpensive and easy to replace. Here is a link that should help http://appliancehelponline.com/gdryertroublevideo.html

This is a pilot-less ignition. You should wait at LEAST 48 hours for the water to evaporate as much as possible.

Longer if possible.

Check your exit vent outside of your house... what you can do is remove vent hose on back of your dryer... run dryer and feel the air coming out of the vent right behind your dryer.. now reinstall your vent line and check outside,,, see if you feel the same or about the same air flow... if your air flow is block, then your heat will not come on regularly to dry clothes... good luck
