My tv started having problems turning on in the mornings. for three days we would turn it on and it would shut off i wouold unplugg it for a minute or so plug it back in and it would be fine, that was for three days. on the fourth day it would try to turn on i would get sound but no picture then it would shut off and a red light blinks 6 times slow, then 3 times fast
Hi With the back removed from the Tv look at the power supply for swollen or bulged capacitors on top, they may even leak a brown like liquid substance from them and are usually valued around 1000uf / 10v. This is a common fault of these power supplys, any you suspect change with a higher voltage but always keep the same uf. Lets say 1000uf / 25v Hope this helps.

My research indicated that the problem is related to the power supply over heating. My wife suggested that we place our small 6" fan behind the tv. We did & the tv has not shut off for three days. Hope this works for you.

You could spend a fortune throwing parts at this trying to figure it out, if indeed the problem is "no spark" start here: Put a crankshaft and camshaft sensor in it. Both these items were a huge problem, one of them will probably solve the problem. If lack of spark was not confirmed, you may need a fuel pump, which is expensive.
The tv needs degaussing (demagnetizing) unplugg the set tonight and then plug it and turn it on in the morning. You should hear a a "bonk" noise when the set is first turned on after being cold- this is the internal degausse circuit working and it should fix your problem if you don't hear the "bonk" sound or it does not fix your problem call arepair shop to have the degausse your set and possibly fix the internal degausse circuit.
Most probably the IC504 (Sharp PQ05RD21) on A-Board went bad. This
model TV, including mine, is notorious for having this problem. The IC
is rather easy to find and inexpensive (around $2.50). Your main
problem will be desoldering the old one and soldering the new one.
I would try resoldering the flyback connections on the Circuit board. if the flyback was defective it would operate and you usually get 3 blinks on the LED indicator. Sounds more like a solder issue.
