When the alarm and data lights are on, means that the toner is empty and you wont be able to print until you purchase a new toner and replace it.
Copy the link below to see how to replace the toner.

Try to check which part from the printer make that noise possibly as you said it could be the feeding section. some part of it called wrap spring clutch. if this part is broken the machine couldn't fed the paper and ofcourse you will hear such noise.

Action to fix Error Code 6A00

Hi
Error 6A00
The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.

Solution 1:
Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.

Solution 2:
Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.

Solution 3:
Press the ink pads down in the purge unit.

I have an okidata 320t that is loading wierd. The alarm light is on when I put a paper in the top feed the alarm light goes out, but the paper doesn't load untill you push the SEL button and then when you...

1st try the easy stuff is the leaver set as paper feed or tractor feed if that is set correctly then you most likley have a gear problem and they need to be replaced.

open up the printer replace all the gears on the right side and the large gear on the left
they cost about 8 euros each and if it does not park correctly just clean out the bits of paper stuck under the paper load leaver the leaver is small black and bobs up and down if it does not bob up and down it means that there is a bit of paper stopping it. (to do this you have to remove the large black roller that feeds the paper)

Mis-feeds paper and thinks it has paper jam

the gears of the printer r worn out and they have hanve lost their allignment settings so this problem.either replace the gears.or the other solution.do not insert the paper in the tray ,keep it little bit outside and hold the end of the paper in hand when you will give a printout the printer will make a noise of picking the paper at that time just push the paper inside and then it will print properly.

Paper won't feed

Pull out the paper tray and push the paper feed roller towards the machine. Try to turnaround the paper feed roller by hand. Reinsert the paper tray.
