Oil in my water reservoir for my Frigidaire FDL70S1 Dehumidifier

I have oil in my water reservoir for my Frigidaire FDL70S1. It is under warranty for the sealed system only. Is this problem likely related to the sealed system? I don't want to pay the diagnostic charge if the rest of the repair is not likely to be covered.

I have a FDL70S1 Frigidaire 70 pint dehumidifier and need to clean the filter. I've lost my manual. So how I get at the filter? Thanks Glenn

First, I'm not a Frigidaire tech.
* Check your warranty. Call for service.
* Contact (note Live Chat link); https://www.frigidaire.com/Search-Results/?q=dehumidifier

* Note that this filter is a "wash - Reuse" and is probably considered a "Part" and not a consumable.

* Final; check your warranty. The filter may be covered.

I have a Frigidaire dehumidifer model FDL70S1 that wont stay running for more than 3 minutes and then it shuts the fan off, but still has power to the unit.

Hi lynn crisp, thanks for your post!

From my understanding you are having a challenging time with your Frigidaire dehumidifier shutting too quickly. It sounds like a possible problem with your sensor or control panel. Are you currently under warranty? I would contact your manufacturer for assistance to a proper resolution. -Matt

I have a FDL70S1 Frigidaire 70 pint dehumiifer that runs for 3 minutes then shuts off. I have tried to set the timer for it to run longer but it wont. Do you know what is wrong with it?

Hello lynn crisp, thank you for your post!

From what you have explained regarding your Frigidaire dehumidifier it sounds like the sensor or control panel has become faulty. I would recommend resetting your dehumidifier and you can do that by unplugging the power cord for ten minutes. Is your dehumidifier under warranty? If so, you may want to reach out to the manufacturer for a resolution to the problem. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Removing the filter model fdl7051

Hello Friend, this is Z. Thank you for allowing me to assist you!

You would need to remove the bucket to locate the filter of your Frigidaire dehumidifier (FDL70S1). Then pull the filter downwards for cleaning. The filter can be clean by using clean water or vacuum cleaner extension hose. If you use clean water, please allow the filter to dry. Once you reinstalled the filter then replace the bucket. To extinguish the light simply press the FILTER button and your dehumidifier should resume normal operations. Remember it is best to clean your filter every two weeks based on normal operating conditions and typically the FILTER REST light will illuminate after 250 hours of operation. Hope this helps!

My frigidaire dehumidifier isn't not dehumidifying .is the warranty still good

Good Morning Friend,

I understand your Frigidaire dehumidifier, model# LAD704TDL, is not dehumidifying. I also see that it is blowing hot air, no water is coming out of the hose, and the humidity stays at 80%. I suggest contacting the manufacturer directly, to see if your appliance is in warranty, and they should be able to point you in the right direction. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Dont spend to much time trying to repair dehumidifier they are very cheap to replace. Most dehumidifiers have lots of problems because they are made so cheap. Just replace the dehumidifier you will tank me in the end.

Oil inside the water collection res

the compressor runs in oil. suspect you have a quite bad leak and loss all the gas - hence no water collection and the compressor oil is being pumped out thro the leak
