Hello,
I have a couple of question before we can provide a diagnosis and ultimately a solution. Does it rotate in either direction for the wash cycle ? Does it spin if placed in just the spin cycle ? Would it be possible to provide a model number and maybe confirm it's a Bosch washer ?
I will try and be helpful, but I'll need a little more detail. I look forward to seeing your reply.
Macmarkus :)
There are a couple of things that will prevent the machine from spinning. It can be due to any one of the following. 1.There may be something stuck between the two tubs, preventing the spin. 2.The coupler that goes between the motor and the transmission may be stripped or cracked. 3.The lid switch may not be engaging correctly or may be broken.

Maybe. Remove belt, unscrew 2 bolts that hold the motor, unplug the
motor connector, lever the motor back with a screwdriver.Check
the motor brushes, if they are any shorter than 1 cm replace brushes.

Try the drive belt from motor to the drum it could have stretched a little? The noise you can hear could be the heating element catching the inner drum or something like a wire from a bra came loose in a wash and is trapped between the drums ?
check your filter. Could be an eratic pump. Dispening draw needs to be cleaned and make sure the small hole is clear to allow the conditioner to flow through
I suggest that you check the brushes in the motor for wear.
Remove rear panel, remove drive belt, undo bolts securing motor, unplug motor lead and earth wire.
Lever motor back, keeping hold of it, and remove.
Check the brushes, they are at the opp end to the motor pulley, if there is less than 8mm left, then replace brushes.
I would also check the pump filter, and clean if req'd.
Please rate my fixya solution.
Thanks.
I have cleaned the pipes going for rinsed water, plus the plumbing stuff like vertical pipe which has on top something like coupler for washing machine and dishwasher, here was problem. It was cloged up with rubish and becouse the pump could not make enugh pressure the machine has stopped in the moiddle of washing as it could not rinse.(Spin)
