My computer says usb device not recognized.... at all... easyshare software is rubbish.. tried that, new and old software... nothing... camera works fine, jus the software/driver doesnt... idea's??
Try a different USB port (if running vista) - or try not plugging into a USB hub if doing so.
Are you running windows Vista? If so usb drivers can be deleted, so upon plugging in it will force a reinstall (complete) of the driver. If you are let me know and i'll post instructions. If you are running XP - try getting a USB - SD card reader, that way you never have to plug the camera in, just the memory to card to copy the jpeg's/avi's off the card.

none of the above work..
Im not running windows, im using mac.
I'm having the same problem with my Kodak camera -- it just started today. I've tried using a different port and searching for the driver. I checked Kodak's website for an updated driver. There seemed to be a knowledge base article for this problem, but every time I clicked on the link, it crashed my browser.
The camera is working fine -- I just can't get the pictures off of it!
ugh.... what the heck.... it won't recognize the camera is even plugged in (via usb)? and yes its turned on
