"Cannot Adjust Fusing Unit"

I have recently replaced my fusing unit. Upon powerup with the new unit I tried to run the fuser adjustment procedure. It started and after a few moments failed. I entered the Maintanence menu and tried to run the fuser adjustment and I got the message "Cannot Adjust, See Manuel". After looking at the manuel it said I had to make sure I had plenty of toner, so I put in all new toner cartriges. Still no luck getting the fuser to adjust and even my IKON guy was confused. Got any suggestions.

J, I may have a problem with the HP sensor. Would the printer continue to work if I had a defective, dirt, or blown fuse on the HP sensor?

Hi there set the transfer belt into the home position then power on this resets the transfer home which then allows calibration. Tray this if not replace transfer unit.

Thanks J

Try cleaning the HP sensor with a blast of compressed air. It should continue to work but you will get a SC code every now and then also the machine will not be able to calibrate correctly.

    Cheers J

Plotwave750 not fusing well.

I strongly believe that you can troubleshoot poor fusing on your Oce PlotWave 750 printer:

Check the fuser temperature sensors: The PlotWave 750 has two temperature sensors that monitor the fuser temperature. These sensors can sometimes become dirty or damaged, resulting in inaccurate temperature readings. Check the sensors for any visible damage or debris, and clean them thoroughly.

Inspect the fuser lamps: The fuser unit in the PlotWave 750 uses two halogen lamps to heat the toner and fuse it to the paper. These lamps can sometimes burn out or become damaged, resulting in poor fusing. Inspect the lamps for any visible damage, and replace them if necessary.

Check the fuser power supply: The fuser unit requires a steady supply of power to maintain the correct temperature. If the fuser power supply is faulty or inconsistent, it can cause poor fusing. Use a multimeter to check the voltage output of the fuser power supply, and replace it if necessary.

Inspect the pressure roller: The pressure roller in the fuser unit applies pressure to the toner and paper to ensure proper adhesion. If the roller is worn or damaged, it can cause poor fusing. Inspect the roller for any visible wear or damage, and replace it if necessary

Check the fuser bearings: The fuser unit has several bearings that allow it to rotate smoothly. If these bearings become worn or damaged, it can cause poor fusing. Check the bearings for any visible wear or damage, and replace them if necessary.

Clean the fuser unit: Over time, the fuser unit can become dirty or contaminated with toner or paper dust. This can interfere with proper fusing. Clean the fuser unit thoroughly with a soft cloth and a specialized cleaning solution.

Adjust the fuser settings: The PlotWave 750 has several fuser settings that can be adjusted to optimize fusing. These settings include fuser temperature, fuser pressure, and toner density. Experiment with these settings to see if they improve fusing.

Fusing unit is not set properly

turn the printer off and reinstall the unit after it has cooled off (30 minutes). Then open cover B and D. Remove the fuser unit, then reinstall it properly. Close covers D and B. The error clears automatically if the fuser unit is properly installed.

If the error is not cleared, the fuser unit is out of order. Replace it with a new fuser unit.

Ricoh mpc3500 fuser unit setting error

Most common problem is the electrical connector on the fusing unit or the connector that the fusing unit connects to inside the machine is broken. So when you push the Fusing Unit in to the machine the connector moves out of position and doesn't connect properly.

When using both the FAX and COPY functions of the Canon Laserclass 710 the printed page shows a 2nd "ghosted" image of the primary image about half way down the page. We've tried a few adjustments but the...

Generally, when you have a ghosting problem, the issue is with the fusing unit. If you have a new fusing unit (or if you can get one) install the new unit and the problem should go away.

If you don't have access to a new fuser, you can try replacing the drum/imaging unit. Sometimes a ghosting problem can be caused by a bad cleaning unit (inside the imaging unit), but usually it's the fuser causing the problem.

My Ricoh 388 is in need of replacing the fuser unit which we just replaced months ago and are very expenseive. Is there a way to fill the oil only in the fuser unit instead of having to replace the entire...

Unfortunately, on the AP3800C the oil supply unit is part of the fusing unit. However, you can purchase just the oil supply portion of the fusing unit and replace that (part #G0604022).

I'm not sure how much that would cost, but it's got to be cheaper than a whole new fusing unit.

Canon IR5000 not running 20 lb. will run 60lb. and cover. 20 gets stuck in middle

If it's getting stuck in the Middle , I am assuming it's getting stuck right a the fusing section, Ok if it is running 60 lbs of paper greatly but, jams in the Middle , this tells me your fuser needs to be adjusted, This is something you don't want to do if your NOT a Service Technician most likely if your fuser was adjusted for 60lb paper the temperture was also adjusted so the paper won't be too too hot, I am certain your fusing unit will need to be adjusted or the Upper fuser/Lower Fusers are worn. Yea, you'll have to call a indiepent or an authorized dealer for this, unless you know how to rebuild the fuser yourself- be careful- this is exteremely hot unit.

Sharp AR-275 Getting H2-00 Erron on power on

In AR 275 Sharp copier H2 00 is very common problem, U have to only reset the above fuser error code as fallows

press # then intrrupt then c them intrrupt then display will show simulation mode then enter 14 then press ok key

If this is not enough then press press thermostat on fuser unit by removing the unit from machine this requires tech knowledge

OR you can try by replacing thermistor of fusing unit

If by above procedure the prob is not solved then and then you replace the fusing lamp

Even though u can check the lamp by removing back cover and turn on the machine u can observe the light of fusing lamp

pl ask for any difficulty.
