HI, the camera was hanging on back of a chair with the strap and slip off to the Tile floor. The camera takes pictures but, lines come across the screen as soon as the picture is taken. My wife has down loaded the camera and relayed that all the pictures taken after the drop either have the lines or just didn't take at all. The drop to the floor was probably 18" to 24"

Hello ,

Guess the lens has damaged !! better take it to a technician!!!

  • Anonymous Mar 24, 2008

Switch on the cam and blow air with ur mouth with full pressure into
the gaps between the lenses. Then give a gentle whack to ur camera on
all the sides. Later switch off and then on ur camera. It works as
usual and u can now take ur pics. Just clean the gaps b/w the
lens again with a vacuum cleaner in its "Low pressure" mode. Its works
    awesome.

What i warn is don't hit the camera too hard and don't blow the air on to the lens !!!

Ceramic tile installation

To Start a Ceramic Tile Project:
1st: Figure out the Size of the Room-Length x Width. This will give you the suare Footage of the Room, and will Determine the amount of Materials You will need for Preparation of Floor before Tile Installation.

2nd: Pick out the size of Tiles, and the Color you wish to Purchase(Decide if it is a High Traffic Area) Tile Comes in different Grades, and if a High Traffic area, you will need a Higher Grade Tile.

3rd: Materials needed for Preparation- Hardy Backer Board(1/2"-3' x 5'). HardyBoard Screws, Unsanded Mastec, Spacers-Depending on Tile Spacing/size of Tiles, 1' x 4' boards. (Tools Needed- Drill, Chalkline, Measuring tape, 3/16 x 3/16 Trowel, 1/4 x 1/4 trowel).

Installation; )Preparation) 1- Apply a 3/16 x3/16 trowel of Unsanded mastecon floor before laying the Backerboard. Screw the Backer Board to the floor recessing screws. (Never have Backerboard meet with 4 pices meet together, off set each piece of backerboard during Installation). After sweeping the room, use a trowel to fill screw holes with unsanded Mastec. Tape all Joints and fill with un-sanded Mastec.(Let Dry for 24 hours).

Tile Installation:- 1st- Sand Mastec used for joints, and screw holes. 2nd- Sweep roome very good and vacuum very well. 3rd- Measure each wall to find the Center Point of the room.(I prefer nailing a board down across one side of the line to keep tiles straight, and butt tiles to the board, and put spacers in between tiles). I use a 1/4" trowel to butter tiles before laying. With using Spacers, buttering tiles, laying tiles.( I prefer using a 2 x 4 and tap tiles across with a rubber Mallet to keep all tiles same heigth). Let One side tiles laid for 24 hours. 4th- Then do the same thing with other side of line.

Finishing Project: Once all the tiles are set, and all spacers removed. Mix up color of Choice unsanded Grout, and follow Manufacturers mixture Specs. Use grout Float and fill Spacing between Tiles. Let dry for 15 minutes. Use bucket of Clean water and Big sponge rinsing frequently removing all Grout from Tiles. Let dry for 30 minutes, and clean tiles again with Clean Water. Let set overnight. Next day, take Clean towel and rub haze off the tiles. Lastly, Seal Tile and grout.

Enjoy your project, and the Satisfaction of doing it yourself. Hope i was some help!!

Is vinyl floor tile strong enough for wheelchair...I am always in the kitchen, cooking

No- It may work for awhile but the wheels on the chair will cut into the tile. If the wheels are thick- over 2 inches thick and are tire type it would help. Try it out - if you see ridges on the tile- Stop- the tile is too soft.

Hi, I want to replace an old American Standard toilet bowl that is a 4 bolt tie down design to the floor. Can I replace this with a standard 2 bolt floor mount design? If not are 4 bolt tie down models...

If you go with the 2 bolt you will need (I presume) to drill 2 holes into the tile. put toilet in place where it will sit and mark the holes , take away toilet and drill the holes with a 7ml tile drill bit (masking tape put over the tile will help you to not slip when starting off the hole). Drill deep enough to insert 7ml rawl plugs. then place the toilet back and fix down with screws long enough to go through the toilet and 3/4 of the rawl plug. You will need; Electric percussion drill or descent battery drill. 7 ml tile drill bit 2 x rawl plug 7ml 2 x screw masking tape is handy hope this helps, Alex

Dropped my camera, now it's broken.

Take the batteries out and recharge them and also look in the battery compartment for any cracks or contacts out of place. what your describing is that the camera can't get enough power to load up.

Broken camera

It is likely that your lens assembly was knocked out of alignment when you dropped the camera. When things do not line up inside the lens the whole unit cannot move in and out. This malfunction requires disassembly to fix, so you will have to get it to a professional for repair. There are providers online who can repair your camera, and also check with your manufacturer to see if they can service the camera at a reasonable rate. David Millier Advance Camera Repair
