Issue is either with the X or Y sustain board. Look for a cap that has blown or a cracked solid state device on the board. One of them is responsible for the ***** croak you heard.

What are the settings for the computer? Make sure it is set for the vga output. If it is a laptop, this is usually done with a function (FN) key. On your settings screen you can set the resolution and which monitor you are using.
It maybe that the resolution and /or the frequency (Hz) on you pc is not supported by the tv. Supported resolutions.
Supported computer resolutions 640 x 350, 720 x 400, 1360 x 768, 1920 x 1080, 640 x 480 (VGA), 1024 x 768 (XGA), 800 x 600 (SVGA), 1280 x 768 (WXGA), 1280 x 1024 (SXGA), 1600 x 1200 (UXGA)
Or you should use the HDMI connector which is reported to work well..
where you saw blue it sounds like your blue crt is shorting out could be just the video amp so
i would suggest you have a tech look at it for and estimate
first try to reattch all coneection to your televison. then open the back side cover of your tv then reattch all connectiuon there . Also clean dust from all circuit.
the photon charges at the back of the tv might be damaged, try to take it in to be repaired if not i suggest u buy a new one, please, please, please do not take it apart to fix it urself, alot of bad burns have happened to people who try to fix plasma tv's.
Get the tech supplier to tell to the manufacture and the store what he told you.
Physical damage on any electronic device is very hard to have serviced under warranty. I have never seen a plasma display crack on its own. But, anything can happen.
I once saw a man drop a newly bought plasma TV in a parking lot outside from where he bought it and the screen broke. He never even made it home from the store!
Maybe you should contact a lawyer or someone who can give you legal advice about how to proceed with this. In different countries and different states the consumer protection laws are different.
COULD BE LVDS CABLE LOSE OR NOT MAKING A GOOD CONTACT , IF IS NOT THAT UNFORTUNATELY IT WILL BE NECESSARILY TO REPLACE T CON BOARD
YOUR RATING TO MY ANSWER ITS HIGHLY APPRECIATE
THANKS
The lines you saw, i;m sure they are the ones called retrace lines but know the failure could be located on the red CRT board. Most likely the video amplifier is defective and not necessarily the CRT.
What is the model number of your TV?
