slam the toner into the printer i know someone who gets that error he just slams the toner in hard then it works

try clean the carthrige chipset using clean tissu.....

If you have more than one USB hubs try connecting through the other hub. May be this hub is not functioning. It happened with me once.

on your desktop go to printers and share your printer. then from your laptop go to printers click add new printer. then choose a network printer and click find or search to find the printer conencted on your pc. the pc has to be turned on in order to print

Normally there is a feature that is called "repair" on the software, try that.

If it is not working try to uninstall the software restart the computer and reinstall the software

To resolve the issue 'USB cannot be recognised' you need to check the bios to make sure all USB ports are enabled. To enable the ports right click on ‘my computer’ and then click ‘properties’ and when the properties window opens, click on the ‘hardware’ tab at the top of the window. Now click on ‘device manager’. It should bring up a list of hardware on your system. Please check if any of them have a little exclamation mark next to them. If there is one by universal serial bus controllers, double click on it and select the driver tab then click update driver. It should automatically search for the drivers and install it.

First install the software driver for your printer in your PC and then connect your Printer to PC via USB Cable. Hope your problem will be solved.

I had this problem with windows 2000. Have you tried to clean the lense.
