SOURCE: hp 1310 all in one paper jam problem
Sounds like the problem I'm having and I've seen all over the web people with all-in-ones having this same problem. HP support to me they would tell me how to fix the problem for $35.00
SOURCE: Always paper jam.
Check to see if something isn't blocking the paper path.
You could try cleaning the feed rollers as well.

I had a similar problem where I had a jam, cleared it and it was not working again. It was a new machine within the store's warranty where I can return things no questions asked, so I returned it and got a new one. The new feeder won't catch at all and I never had any jams with the new unit - I put a stack of paper in to convert to PDF and it will do one at a time, or if it does do more than one, it misses stuff.
I never had a problem on the old machine until the jam. I don't know why the new one is not working.

exactly at the back side of the printer there is a plastic rectangle in shape you have to gently press and remove that plastic rectangle tray outside and then you can easily remove the jammed paper.

I have exactly the same printer, here's how to remove jammed paper.
1. Unplug printer from mains and your computer.
2. Turn Printer around
3. There is a darker-grey panel with a knob in the middle of it. Turn the knob anti-clockwise to release the panel
4. The jammed paper should loop around the roller. Gently pull on the loop slowly until it has released fully.
5. Put the panel back on the printer and turn knob anti-clockwise to lock it into place.
Hope this helps.
