The printer is leaving a wide (1cm) black stripe of ink on the back side of the paper with every page that is printed. This started after replacing the PGBK5 ink cartrige. It ruins the printed page because the paper is saturated with black ink and it uses huge amounts of ink with each page.
Replacing the cartirge and even replacing the print head did not help.
This is probably due to miss alignment, there is an option of test page which will be scanned to allign the cartridge, if ur's a all in one printer. This test page is printed at the first time and scanned instantly for first time operation.
Thankyou

We did align the cartriges 3 times. The black strip on the back side got fainter and fainter with each pass. But when we printed from the computer the black strip returned as before. Again it is on the back side of the page not on the side that is being printed. It is totally black about 1cm wide and aligned exactly where the PG5K printer parks when cover is open. It uses so much ink that the paper is actually wet with ink.
We also cleaned the base plate and the nozzles from the printer maintenance menu. It seems to work ok when we receive a fax but whenever we print from the computer it returns as before. It is Canon all in one MP830
I have cleaned everything twice but still getting these single dark stripes on everything I print
