I have a gen iv 4 ch dvr hooked up in my store. I shut the monitor off when i leave the store .When I came in I turned on monitor and the screen is blinking blue and the DVR power light is blinking.I tried the menu button but nothing comes up on the screen.

hi i have dvr 8 ch and lost password, i have disconnect and remove cell battery.. time dat ok for 2000 1 1 but admin and 000000 don't work please help thanks !
do you have audio cameras, they don't usually give you the audio cameras with a standard setup, on the back of the dvr there is a plug for audio its either a phono plug or a mic input socket, this can be used in one room or outside depending on the mic you have to buy. you then wire this up to the cctv and have to setup the sound to the camara number.
Connect a microphone and enable the audio. It should all be in the settings. Check each camera to make sure audio is enabled. Usually it is off by default.
I had the same problem. Did their online tech support and Patty told me to hold down the "rewind" button on the DVR for 20 secs. You should now be able to right click your mouse to access the on screen menu. You will now want to go under system, and a/v setup and change the device to VGA instead of Vout. Now you can reboot and not have to go thru holding down the buttons anymore. Worked for me.

If you mean will the Gen 5 DVR Station Remote work with a Gen 4 DVR
Station, I believe it will for at least the basic player controls on
your 604 (except for the alpha keyoard entry because the Gen 4 players
did not have this feature enabled).
If you mean, will the Gen 5 DVR Station Remote control your Archos 604
directly (without a dvr dock), the answer is no, you must have a DVR
Station for the remote to work on any Archos player.
You have to hook it up to a tv monitor and change the settings through the menu. It will originally include a password just to get you on, then you will immediately have to change it. After you do that you can access the menu where you can change the output settings
