My PC doesn't recognize my Passport after I plugged it into a Mac. Another variable is that I had to use a double USB cable to power the passport with the Mac. Now, the PC won't recognize the Passport.

hi.. I too recently lost my data from Mac pro, due to accidental deletion.so in order to recover those loss data, I implemented Hard Drive Data Recovery Tools. it impressed me very much with its quality features. You can download this tool from internet for trial use.
the problem is that your western digital operates using the NTFS (New Technology File System) which is the standard file system of Windows. Apple macs is not interopable with native NTFS therefore you need to install a read-write NTFS file-system driver on your mac.
an excellent free mac NTFS driver can be found here- http://mac.softpedia.com/get/System-Utilities/NTFS-3G.shtml
Does it currently connect to any other mac or pc??? If someone "yanked" it out
while it was still in use, it could have corrupted the boot sector of
the drive containing basic information about the drive that allows it
to be read properly by the operating system. If this is the case you
can recover everything without any data loss within minutes. Look over
the following program, TestDisk v6.11.3, and see if it's something your
willing to try. It's 100% free, no spyware, no viruses, no adware:
(Note: if you use this, you should experiment with it first on a usb
thumbdrive you're not using until you feel comfortable with it)
Some computers (especially Mac laptops) don't send enough power through the USB port to power a passport, so you need to get an extra power cord, one that combines 2 USB ports into one to get a little extra juice. Wish I could give you a website where you can buy that extra cord but I am currently looking for one myself at this moment in time.
